Too Good To Check: DOD Employee ID’d As Israeli War Plans Leaker

Big if true

From the Jerusalem Post article

The Pentagon denied that Ariane Tabatabai, Chief of Staff of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations, is a subject of interest in the investigation for the alleged leak of classified documents pertaining to Israel’s plans for a retaliatory attack against Iran.

“To my knowledge, this official is not a subject of interest,” said Press Secretary of the Air Force, Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier Tuesday, Sky News Arabia cited a senior Pentagon official who reportedly named Tabatabai as the main suspect in the FBI’s investigation into the leaks.

Main suspect? Yes? No? If so, this is not going to be good for the Pentagon. Take it for what you will

In September 2023, a large cache of Iranian government correspondence and emails reported for the first time by Semafor and Iran International claimed to connected Ariane with the Iran Experts Initiative, an effort initiated by senior Iranian Foreign Ministry officials to bolster Tehran’s image and positions on global security issues.

She was cleared by Rheanne E. Wirkkala, an assistant Secretary of Defense (who’s also married to a Washington Post reporter, and, how does someone that young with no experience get this position?), claiming Tabatabai was totally vetted. Her office and emails and such need to be totally checked out in full.

Amazon To Remake A Few Stephen King Movies For Some Reason

If they were going to remake something, how about the horrible Dark Tower? Hollywood is kinda out of ideas

Netflix horror master moving to Amazon for new classic Stephen King adaptation

Popular horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan, best known for his creation of several thrilling Netflix mini dramas and movies, has reportedly inked a deal with Amazon to adapt an eight-episode series based on a Stephen King classic.

Flanagan previously directed a handful of hit Netflix shows, including The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, as well as Warner Bros’ 2019 horror fantasy Doctor Sleep, based on King’s 2013 novel. Now, he’s once again teaming up with the prolific horror author to adapt King’s 1974 classic novel, Carrie, according to Deadline.

I found Hill House tedious and boring, and didn’t make it far, but, regardless, Carrie has already been made twice. The first was awesome, the second in 2013 was OK. Why do we need it a 3rd time? How much Woke or idiocy will be in it?

Chucky 3 director Jack Bender is currently directing an adaptation of King’s 2019 book, The Institute, and Edgar Wright is helming a new iteration of 1982’s The Running Man. Meanwhile, Francis Lawrence is working with Lionsgate on The Long Walk, which was released in 1979 under King’s pseudonym, Richard Bachman.

Well, maybe if the Running Man is closer to the book. The Long Walk? Not sure, that is a seriously dark story. Just like one expected from early Stephen King. They could do a newer Dead Zone. Insomnia has never been done. They could do Under The Dome according to the book, rather than the horrible two season show. Couldn’t get by season 1. They could make movies or TV episodes out of his collection books Night Shift, Different Seasons, and Skeleton Crew, like has been done with some.. Sun Dog would be good from Four Past Midnight. You’d probably be shocked how many movies have been made from his books and short stories.

King has previously vocalized his dislike of Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 adaptation of The Shining, once describing it as “a big, beautiful Cadillac with no engine inside it.”

He also slammed the director’s portrayal of Wendy – played by the late Shelley Duvall, opposite Jack Nicholson’s Jack Torrence – as “one of the most misogynistic characters ever put on film.”

Do one that mirrors the book. Seriously, though, there are tons of books in scifi and horror I could recommend be turned into movies and miniseries. Many of them would do gangbusters on the big screen. And some thrillers. The Jack Sigler series by Jeremy Robinson would be great. David Achord’s Thomas Ironcutter mystery series is awesome. Something lighthearted? Mango Bob. Most of Greig Beck’s stuff would work well. I could keep going.

Anyhow, I’m seeing more interesting stuff coming from European nations and Australia than Hollywood. Sure, there is some stuff. But, there used to be tons. Go back and look at October 2004, 1994, 1984, etc. There were so many more good films being released.

Biden-Harris Regime To Give Michigan Semi-Conductor Company $325 Million To Help Harris Win State

It must be true because the Associated Press says it

Biden administration to provide $325 million for new Michigan semiconductor factory

The Biden administration said Monday that it would provide up to $325 million to Hemlock Semiconductor for a new factory, a move that could help give Democrats a political edge in the swing state of Michigan ahead of election day.

The funding would support 180 manufacturing jobs in Saginaw County, where Republicans and Democrats were neck-and-neck for the past two presidential elections. There would also be construction jobs tied to the factory that would produce hyper-pure polysilicon, a building block for electronics and solar panels, among other technologies.

Now, imagine it was the Trump admin giving a large sum of money to a company right before an election in a state they needed to win: would it be treated like above, or would they and the other Credentialed Media outlets be screaming about Trump trying to buy the election? That it was improper and the Democrats in the House should file articles of impeachment?

Beyond that

Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said on a call with reporters that the funding came from the CHIPS and Science Act, which President Joe Biden signed into law in 2022. It’s part of a broader industrial strategy that the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, supports, while Republican nominee Donald Trump, the former president, sees tariff hikes and income tax cuts as better to support manufacturing.

“What we’ve been able to do with the CHIPS Act is not just build a few new factories, but fundamentally revitalize the semiconductor ecosystem in our country with American workers,” Raimondo said. “All of this is because of the vision of the Biden-Harris administration.”

That bipartisan law was on August 9th, 2022. We’re over two years later. The point was to quickly give loans and grants to get semi-conducter chips manufactured here in the United States. The majority of those came well over a year after it was passed. The Biden-Harris admin didn’t even start accepting applications till March of 2023. For some reason, giant company Intel was given tens of billions. Oh, and Intel just announced they will lay off thousands.

Running in 2016, Trump narrowly won Saginaw County and Michigan as a whole. But in 2020 against Biden, both Saginaw County and Michigan flipped to the Democrats.

Biden beat Trump by just 50.6% to 47.8% in 2020. Trump beat Hillary by just 1.2%. Democrats had won the county during the Bush and Obama years, so, Biden-Harris are dumping this graft money into the county for a project that will take years to start. If ever. This is using vast sums of taxpayer funds to influence an election.

It would be fun if a reporter asked Kamala to explain the money giveaway and what it will mean for the area. The word salad would be epic.

Bummer: Dems Have No Response To GOP Attack On EV Mandate

As usual, I’ll say I am not against EVs. If you want one, get one. That’s your choice. It shouldn’t be the government’s choice to force manufacturers to make them, limiting the choice of US Citizens

The GOP’s electric car attacks crash into Dems’ closing message

Republicans are on the attack over electric vehicles, and Democrats are having a hard time finding their footing.

In tight House and Senate races in Michigan, Virginia, New York and Montana, Republican candidates are putting Democrats on the defensive by accusing the Biden administration of trying to “mandate” that drivers abandon their Chevy Tahoes for Chevy Bolts. Some Republicans are misleadingly tying EV tax subsidies to reductions in Medicare payments to drug companies.

These attacks, echoing Donald Trump’s campaign against Kamala Harris, come as multiple groups on both sides of the electric vehicle debate are joining in. Fossil fuel interests are spending tens of millions of dollars in swing-state Senate races, while environmentalists are waging their own effort to tout the benefits of driving an EV.

At a Michigan Senate debate this month, former Rep. Mike Rogers, a Republican, pointed to thousands of autoworker layoffs in the state and assailed Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin for a recent vote in which she refused to overturn the Environmental Protection Agency’s tightened limits on tailpipe pollution from cars and trucks.

“My opponent, multiple times, supported EV mandates, trying to pick the cars that our companies have to build and the cars that you’re going to have to buy,” he said.

Rogers missed in asking the media to ask if Slotkin is driving an EV herself. Because she doesn’t

‘What You Drive Is Your Call’: Elissa Slotkin Runs Ad Decrying EV Mandates—Days After Voting To Keep Them in Place

Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Elissa Slotkin is running a new campaign advertisement in which she boasts about owning a gas-powered vehicle and says she opposes electric vehicle mandates. Slotkin, however, voted in favor of federal EV requirements just days before releasing the ad.

“I live on a dirt road, nowhere near a charging station. So, I don’t own an electric car,” Slotkin narrates in the ad. “No one should tell us what to buy, and no one is going to mandate anything. But here’s the thing, if there’s going to be a new generation of vehicles, I want that new generation built right here in Michigan, not China. I approve this message, because what you drive is your call, no one else’s.”

On Sept. 20, the congresswoman voted against a resolution authored by fellow Michigan Rep. John James (R.) that would overturn the Biden-Harris administration’s environmental regulations requiring more EV sales. Those rules, finalized earlier this year by the EPA, are expected to force 56 percent of light-duty car sales to be battery electric and another 13 percent to be hybrid electric by 2032 thanks to strict emissions standards.

That article was from October 3rd. So, she doesn’t drive one, but, wants to force you peasants to be limited to only purchasing an EV.

Auto-heavy Michigan has seen a focus on EVs from Trump and Harris too, with a similar accusation that Harris wants to ban gas-powered vehicles.

While she formerly supported that idea while in the Senate, Harris declared in a recent rally, “Contrary to what my opponent is suggesting, I will never tell you what kind of car you have to drive.”

Tampon Tim echoes this line, but, Harris was part of the administration which passed the rule forcing it on consumers. Anyhow, it’s a long article, basically showing that Republicans are obliterating Democrats on this subject, while Democrats attempt to play defense, about as well as the Carolina Panthers. The GOP should be tying it into the reality that Democrats want to force just about everything in citizen’s lives like the EV mandate.

Biden-Harris Regime “Deeply Concerned” Over Leaked Israel Attack Plans

Will they be concerned enough to find out who actually leaked it?

US ‘deeply concerned’ by intelligence leak over Israel plan to attack Iran

US government officials investigating the leak of two classified intelligence papers assessing Israel’s plans to attack Iran have said they did believe any more documents had been compromised.

However, the Biden administration remained “deeply disturbed” by the unauthorized release, John Kirby, the national security communications adviser, told reporters at a White House briefing on Monday.

Kirby also said that US officials have spoken with Israeli counterparts about the leak, but he did not divulge details of the conversation.

“We’re deeply concerned, and the president remains deeply concerned, about any leakage of classified information into the public domain. That’s not supposed to happen, and it’s unacceptable when it does,” he said.

“He will be actively monitoring the progress of the investigative effort to figure out how this happened, and obviously he’ll be very interested in hearing any mitigation measures and recommendations that come as a result of the investigative efforts.”

Earlier on Monday, a defense department official confirmed to the Guardian that an in-depth inquiry was under way into how the two documents, attributed to the US Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency, came to be published on the Telegram messaging app four days ago.

It can’t be too hard to find who did it. Seriously, how many employees had access to the documents? It can’t be large amount for documents that sensitive, can it? Really, they should have been found already.

Kirby said it was not yet known if the papers, both marked top secret, were deliberately released, or if their publication was the result of a hack. But, he said: “We don’t have any indication at this point that there’s an expectation that there will be additional documents like this finding their way into the public domain.”

How many months will it take to find out?

Bummer: Gen Z Indoctrinated Into Have Climate (scam) Anxiety

Seriously, why is this not considered child abuse? Gen Z, just like a lot of Millennials, were indoctrinated in government run schools over climate doom, and all the fearmongering has turned them into mental messes. If a parent treated their children this poorly they’d be taken by the state and the parents charged

A wave of climate-change anxiety has spread amongst Gen Z. Here are the U.S. states where they’re most and least distressed.

Medical journal The Lancet surveyed almost 16,000 16- to 25-year-olds from each state in the U.S.—and found the kids are quite simply not alright. A whopping 85% report being concerned about climate change, a worry that remains high across all political parties.

Blame the climate cult Lancet, teachers, politicians, and the media

Climate change evokes feelings of anxiety (65.8%), powerlessness (65.8%), and fear (65.1%) among the youth—fueling a majority to agree with the sentiment that “people have failed to take care of the planet.”

They’re been taught to lose their shit over a minor 1.6F increase in global temperatures since 1850, and never exposed to data or the historical records from previous Holocene warm periods. They been indoctrinated into not looking.

“Young people in America are struggling emotionally and psychologically with the effects of climate change,” co-author Lise Van Susteren wrote in the study’s press release. “They are afraid and angry and doubting their future prospects. As we decry the mental health crisis in America’s youth, and search for answers to address it, this survey helps to spotlight climate change as a significant source of distress,” she added, explaining that elected officials play a role.

The US needs to invest in mental health facilities that do deprogramming. Of course, the government is one of the biggest purveyors of the cult scam, which is way worse than Scientology, Branch Davidians, and others. At least they didn’t try and force people to join.

But the youth is most concerned in these 5 places:

  1. Connecticut and Rhode Island
  2. Texas
  3. Massachusetts
  4. New Jersey
  5. Washington

And least concerned

  1. Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota
  2. Arkansas
  3. Alabama
  4. Mississippi
  5. South Carolina

It’s surprising that Texas is so high, but, Democrats have worked hard to get uber-leftists into the state and into teaching positions, which lean uber-left to start with. But, only 30.7% are extremely worried, as compared California which is 32.3%. California is #8 on the list. Florida is also in the top 10, but, only 27.8 are extremely worried.

Of course, the Lancet never bothered to ask “Have you changed your lives to accord with your climate beliefs? Stopped using fossil fuels?” The Lancet is also the organization which came up with the horrendous and shoddy study on how many died during the 2003 Iraq war.

cBS News Says Their Kamala Harris Interview Was Totally On The Up And Up

There’s still something missing, though

CBS News breaks its silence over editing allegations in ’60 Minutes’ interview with Harris

CBS News pushed back against former President Trump’s claim that “60 Minutes” deceitfully edited its interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, dismissing the allegation as “false” in a statement released Sunday.

After weeks of staying mum despite mounting backlash over the interview, CBS published a statement Sunday evening addressing the outrage that ensued after airing two different answers to the same question in the “60 Minutes” interview earlier this month with the Democratic nominee.

“Former President Donald Trump is accusing 60 Minutes of deceitful editing of our Oct. 7 interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. That is false,” the statement began.

“60 Minutes gave an excerpt of our interview to ‘Face the Nation’ that used a longer section of her answer than that on 60 Minutes. Same question. Same answer. But a different portion of the response. When we edit any interview, whether a politician, an athlete, or movie star, we strive to be clear, accurate and on point. The portion of her answer on 60 Minutes was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide-ranging 21-minute-long segment.”

And, then, of course, it had to pivot to Trump, because Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, and, hey, why not, it’s all Kamala seems to be able to do. And, if you’ll remember

CBS News has taken heat in recent days for airing two different answers to the same question in its “60 Minutes” interview earlier this month with Harris. Harris was mocked by conservatives when footage of her offering a lengthy “word salad” was aired by CBS’ “Face the Nation” to promote the “60 Minutes” sit-down, when Bill Whitaker asked why it seemed like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t listening to the U.S.

It’s hard to reconcile the different answers with “light editing” or striving “to be clear, accurate, and on point.”

The thing is, cBS News makes no mention of releasing either the full transcript, the unedited full interview, or both. I wonder why?

Say, Could Yapping About Climate Doom Help Harris’ Campaign?

Warmist Bill McKibben pops his head up at the New Yorker, a city that could not survive without fossil fuels for planes, ships, helicopters, trucks, cabs, limos, and cars

Could Talking About Climate Change Now Help Kamala Harris’s Campaign?

No. Period. Fully stop, as they say. Does Bill think Kamala is capable of having an adult conversation on this? Does he realize the word salad that would spew forth? Does he think this will play to anyone but the most fervent Democrat voters? Does he think that the average voter who has seen their cost of living skyrocket during the Biden-Harris admin cares? Or the ones seeing the border overrun with illegals/migrants shipped to their towns causing all sorts of issues care? Or that WWIII is just around the corner care?

Kamala Climate ClownNot that you’d know it from this year’s Presidential campaign. Vice-President Kamala Harris, since becoming the Democratic nominee, has spoken very little about climate change. To the degree that a transition from fossil fuel has been discussed at all, it’s been in the form of her assuring Pennsylvanians that she won’t interfere with fracking. She has spoken about creating green jobs, but not much else. The reasons are fairly clear. First, the Democratic Party essentially had no primary season. Biden faced only token challenge, and when he stepped down Harris was nominated by acclamation, so activists had no chance to elevate climate change to a crucial electoral issue, as they had done in 2020. Remember the backdrop: Greta Thunberg’s movement had crested in the fall of 2019, with some six million people marching in protests around the world. In this country, the Sunrise Movement was pushing a Green New Deal. The governor of Washington, Jay Inslee, who was also briefly a Presidential candidate, called that time a “magic moment” for climate politics. NBC reported, “Climate change has recently shot to the top of polls of issues that Democratic voters care about in the presidential primary, rivaling for the first time longstanding bread-and-butter topics like health care.” Harris, in her primary bid, said that global warming “represents an existential threat to who we are as a species.” Biden, after winning the nomination, secured Senator Bernie Sanders’s support by committing to work with him on climate initiatives.

Yes, that is all one paragraph. And, yes, Jay Inslee flamed out badly in the 2020 primaries, because no one cared that his entire focus was climate doom. No one cared in reality in 2020, not with COVID still raging, and with economic conditions collapsing.

If Harris’s team thinks that supporting fracking in Pennsylvania is key to winning over undecided voters, then so be it. But, especially as polling still shows widespread support for climate action, it wouldn’t hurt to send a broader signal of concern about this most crucial of issues. The 2012 Presidential election was similarly quiet about global warming—there was no mention of it in the debates—until Hurricane Sandy hit the mid-Atlantic, in late October. Michael Bloomberg, New York’s Republican-turned-independent mayor at the time, used the occasion for a surprise endorsement of President Barack Obama, saying that the devastation had brought the stakes of the election into “sharp relief.”

Bill is cool with Kamala lying about her support of fracking, which, if elected, she will immediately look to ban fracking in Pennsylvania and everywhere else. Yapping about it will only help with her hardcore base. It won’t move the needle anywhere else.
