We’ve seen this to a small degree in the early 2000s when Bush was president, and during the first Trump administration, but, the liberals have ramped up the crazy on cutting off contact with anyone who didn’t vote the way they did to Category 5

Yale Psychiatrist Urges MSNBC Viewers to Shun Trump-Voting Family over the Holidays

Yale University chief psychiatry resident Dr. Amanda Calhoun said Friday on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that liberals who were devastated by Donald Trump’s presidential re-election should separate from family members who voted for him.

Host Joy Reid said, “I wonder if also, are people challenged with the idea of how do you interact with people you know voted for this? If you’re an LGBTQ person and know someone in your family voted essentially against your rights or you’re a woman, knowing this man was calling people the B word. JD Vance was literally calling Kamala Harris the trash. And said we’re going to take out the trash. I know a lot of black women were incredibly triggered by that. If you meet somebody and you know they voted for the people who called your trash, or if you’re Puerto Rican and you know someone voted that way, do you recommend just from a psychological standpoint being around them? We got the holidays coming up.”

Calhoun said, “I love that you asked this question because there is a push. I think there is a societal norm that if somebody is your family that, they are entitled to your time. And I think the answer is absolutely not. So if you are going through a situation where you have family members, close friends who you know have voted in ways that are against you, like what you said, against your livelihood, it is completely fine to not be around those people and tell them why. To say I have a problem with the way that you voted because it went against my very livelihood and I’m not going to be around you this holiday. I need to take some space for me. I actually talked to adults as well as advising parents for children. I don’t think you should force children or adults to be around people just because they are your family. There is a level of need to establish boundaries. If you feel like you need to establish boundaries with people, whether they are your family or not, I think you should very much be entitled to do so. I think it may be essential for your mental health.”

Before the moonbats were yammering about having talking points to use against your Trump voting uncle (or, just Republican uncle before Trump). Now they just want to cut off contact. And you have a wacko Yale psychologist saying this, rather than telling people to Adult Up and simply avoid talking politics. This is not like cutting off contact with abusive friends and family, it’s just politics. Democrats have made politics their religion. They have invested so much into Trump Derangement Syndrome that they are cutting off contact with friends and family simply over an election.

COP29’s Real Focus Is On Money Or Something

What this is really about right now is about taking your hard-earned money in the 1st World and sending it elsewhere

Climate talks open with calls for a path away from the ‘road to ruin.’ But the real focus is money

United Nations annual climate talks stuttered to a start Monday with more than nine hours of backroom bickering over what should be on the agenda for the next two weeks. It then turned to the main issue: money.

In Baku, Azerbaijan, where the world’s first oil well was drilled and the smell of the fuel was noticeable outdoors, the talks were more about the smell of money — in huge amounts. Countries are negotiating how rich nations can pay up so poor countries can reduce carbon pollution by transitioning away from fossil fuels and toward clean energy, compensate for climate disasters and adapt to future extreme weather.

In order to try to start the 12 days of talks, called COP29, with a win, Monday’s session seemed to find a resolution to a nagging financial issue about trading carbon pollution rights — one that has eluded negotiators for years. It could free up to $250 billion in spending a year to help poor nations, said new COP29 president, Mukhtar Babayev.

When it comes to discussions on finance, the amount of money being talked about to help poor nations could be as high as $1.3 trillion a year. That’s the need in the developing world, according to African nations, which have produced 7% of the heat-trapping gases in the air but have faced multiple climate crises, from floods to drought.

Whatever amount the nations come up with would replace an old agreement that had a goal of $100 billion a year. Richer nations have wanted numbers closer to that figure. If an agreement is struck, money is likely to come from a variety of sources including grants, loans and private finance.

And your pocket to cover those grants, loans, and private finance that never get repaid. How about all those rich folks at COP29 use their own move?

Dozens of climate activists at the conference — many of them wearing Palestinian kaffiyehs — held up banners calling for climate justice and for nations to “stop fueling genocide.”

“It’s the same systems of oppression and discrimination that are putting people on the frontlines of climate change and putting people on the front lines of conflict in Palestine,” said Lise Masson, a protester from Friends of the Earth International. She slammed the United States, the U.K. and the EU for not spending more on climate finance while also supplying arms to Israel.

Well, of course the climate cultists have joined forces with the Israel/Jew haters and supporters of Islamic terrorism. Hell, even the Taliban is going to be there.

Canada Is Super Concerned With Illegal Aliens Escaping America Under Trump

Canada on ‘high alert’ bracing for migrants fleeing US

Canadian authorities are on high alert and increasing border security in anticipation of a potential surge in migrants from the United States due to the upcoming presidential election.

Sergeant Charles Poirier, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police spokesman, told news agency AFP, “We’re on high alert. All of our eyes are looking at the border to see what’s going to happen… because we know that Trump’s stance on immigration might drive up illegal and irregular migration to Canada.”

This follows a previous period during former President Donald Trump’s first term (2017-2021) when a significant number of migrants, including Haitians who lost US protections, sought refuge in Canada.

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland convened a meeting with ministers to address potential challenges stemming from the US election. She assured Canadians that the government has a plan to manage a possible increase in migrant arrivals, emphasizing border security and control.

This comes at a time when Canada is reducing its own immigration targets to manage population growth and strengthen infrastructure and social services.

So, wait, the uber-leftist Canadian government doesn’t want more migrants? Huh

Following the recent US election, online searches related to moving to Canada saw a considerable rise, particularly inquiries about immigration processes.

Authorities plan to increase border patrol presence and utilize technology like cameras, sensors, and drones to monitor the situation. Information sharing between Canada and the US is also ongoing.

I wonder why the Canadian government leaders like Justin Trudeau don’t want all these illegals and migrants now, when they used to be oh so happy to get them.

Climate Cult Now Wants To Give Legal Rights To Forests

Many DOJ Employees Are Terrified Of Trump’s Return

Many in government are worried about Trump’s return. At DOJ, they’re terrified.

A collective sense of dread has taken hold at the Department of Justice, which drew Donald Trump’s rage like no other part of the federal government during his campaign.

Some career attorneys at DOJ are already considering heading for the exits rather than sticking around to find out whether threats from Trump and his allies are real or campaign bluster. Those threats range from mass firings of “deep state” lawyers to expelling special counsel Jack Smith from the country.

“Everyone I’ve talked to, mostly lawyers, are losing their minds,” said one DOJ attorney, who like most of the people interviewed for this article was granted anonymity to speak freely about colleagues and avoid retribution from the president-elect and his allies. “The fear is that career leadership and career employees everywhere are either going to leave or they’re going to be driven out.”

While alarm over Trump’s return is widespread throughout the federal bureaucracy, it is perhaps most acute at the Justice Department, which was at the center of many of the major controversies of his first term. (snip)

But department veterans say those events pale in comparison to what they expect when Trump gets a second chance to try to remake the DOJ in his vision. They also know Trump’s anger at the department has only deepened in the past four years as it launched two unprecedented criminal prosecutions against him.

If they were doing their jobs properly and not being partisan activists they wouldn’t be concerned, right? No one involved in weaponizing the DOJ against Trump and Republicans should be concerned. Justice should be blind, not a member of the Democratic Party. Citizens engaged in Wrongthink should not be fearful of the DOJ coming after them. They shouldn’t be scared that the DOJ will pursue them for years for daring to wander around the Capitol Building, causing no harm, no damage, no threat, while those who attempted to burn down a federal justice center in Portland are virtually ignored. If they can spy on a president-elect, they can spy on you. If they are willing to threaten states for passing state laws that have no bearing on federal law (remember, the DOJ enforces federal law), what can they do to you? If they can raid a former president and tear his home up they can do that to you. They’ve intimidated parents, deemed non-liberals as extremists, even put Tulsi Gabbard on a no-fly list.

The DOJ should not be acting as the personal police force of Democrats

And then, in early November, the DOJ’s Southern District of New York had the FBI execute pre-dawn search warrants at two homes of journalists believed to be in possession of a diary belonging to Biden’s adult daughter. What isn’t clear, based on facts known publicly, is why the president’s daughter’s diary would be a matter of federal investigative interest, particularly in light of the journalists’ claimed efforts to return the diary to both Ashley Biden and law enforcement prior to the searches.

By now, Biden must feel pretty confident that the DOJ is his personal police force. Outrage over its tactics has been muted and the attorney general doesn’t push back. So it’s no surprise that the administration invented DOJ superpowers this past week to intimidate politicians who hold different views.

And the media yawned. And the DOJ employees who have gone to the dark side should be terrified of being terminated or at least allowed to resign.

Trump Names Tom Holman As Border Czar

Perhaps there is something going on behind the scenes with Senate Republicans, probably the squishy ones, that means Trump does want to appoint him as Director of Homeland Security? Why not name him ICE Director again? Who will be ICE Director? Surely Trump doesn’t want to keep current acting director, Patrick Lechleitner, a Biden holdover, does he? He would want someone who will do the job

Trump taps Tom Homan as his ‘border czar,’ avoiding Senate confirmation battle

President-elect Donald Trump will tap his former head of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Tom Homan, to be the “border czar” in his administration.

Trump announced late Sunday evening that he would make Homan responsible for the southern border, northern border, coastal and air borders. Homan was under consideration to lead the entire Department of Homeland Security, a Senate-confirmed Cabinet position.

“I am pleased to announce that the Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security,” Trump posted on Truth Social. Homan said in an interview on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures that Trump planned to first target illegal immigrants with criminal histories for deportation.

“It’s going to be the worst first,” said Homan, adding that he hasn’t advocated for military involvement. “It will be a humane operation, but it’s a necessary mass deportation operation.”

Homan’s appointment means he will not need to get Senate confirmation, avoiding an ugly and potentially difficult process given Homan’s loyalty to Trump through the years. As a “czar,” Homan will advise the president on border issues and be the point person on related matters.

The position of ICE Director does require Senate confirmation, and, I’d think it would be great, with Republicans and Hollman explaining exactly why illegals are a danger, especially all those murderers, rapists, gang members, etc, that Biden-Harris have let in. I suspect that Hollman isn’t interested in going through all that, that he just wants to be an advisor. Regardless, what’s going to happen at the border is going to make the pro-illegal immigration forces (as long as the illegals are Elsewhere) nuts

Trump and Hollman should start shipping a large chunk of the illegals/migrants claiming asylum to Massachusetts, particularly Boston, while their cases are adjudicated. Remember when she was declaring a state of emergency over all the illegals? Ship the fake asylum seekers who are not criminals straight to sanctuary jurisdictions, let them deal with it.

Anyhow, I see the good with Hollman as Border Czar being he can concentrate on getting it done without dealing with the day by day minutia of running ICE, and Trump can trust Hollman to get the job done while Trump concentrates on other things.

After Taking Long Fossil Fueled Flights, World Leaders To Shape Earth’s Fate

It’s wonderful that 40K people will take fossil fueled trips to Azerbaijan, a big fossil fuels nation, to yammer about ‘climate change’. This includes all those world leaders taking private jets, all to decide how much government they can put into your life and how much of your money and freedom they can take

World leaders aim to shape Earth’s future at COP29 climate change summit

World leaders will gather for about two weeks in the former Soviet republic of Azerbaijan starting Monday, with the goal of figuring out how much wealthy countries should pay to help developing nations facing the devastating effects of climate change.

But that goal may be upstaged by the results of the U.S. election and the incoming Trump administration in the U.S.

Those results mean one of the wealthiest participants in the yearly bureaucratic meeting may soon begin a significant shift in environmental policies, may not attend next year’s event and could soon again exit a landmark global climate change treaty.

More than 40,000 people are expected to attend the meeting. The 12-day conference brings together diplomats, scientists, activists, lobbyists, environmental groups and businesses from countries who’ve ratified a treaty aimed at preventing “dangerous” human interference with the climate.

Every single one of them yammers about how bad fossil fuels are, but, very few will be able to take anyone other than a fossil fueled trip, mostly on planes, to the conference.

“Billions of people are counting on us to deliver climate finance at a scale that is adequate to the urgency and scale of the problem. We will spare no effort to deliver a fair and ambitious new goal in Baku at COP29,” COP29 President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev said in a release.

That includes the United States, for now. Whether that membership will continue is an open question.

Yeah, Trump will kill off this redistribution scheme as far as the U.S. is concerned.

During his campaign in 2024, Trump vowed to remove the United States from the Paris Agreement. There are also reports that a new Trump administration would attempt to remove the U.S. from the entire U.N. climate framework, according to reports in Politico and Bloomberg.

Exiting either treaty would require at least a year to go into effect as the original agreements the U.S. signed require first a formal notice that the country plans to leave the agreement and then a year wait for it to do so.

Except, Paris is not a treaty. It was never ratified by the Senate, as required by the Constitution. Heck, Trump could have the GOP controlled Senate vote in February to kill it if he wanted, not that it is necessary. It is essentially the equivalent of an Executive Order, which can be rescinded with the stroke of a pen. The Framework? Yeah, that would require notice, since the Senate approved it in 1992.

According to a United Nations Environment Program report last month, the world must cut 42% of annual greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and 57% by 2035 to reach the Paris Agreement’s goal of keeping global temperature increases below 2.7 degrees (1.5 degrees Celsius.)

We could start be ending the notion of 40K people taking fossil fueled trips to climate conferences. Especially the people who want to control your life.

Vice President Kamala Harris‘ former communications director floated a wild plan to make her the first female commander-in-chief — all President Biden has to do is resign.

Jamal Simmons, who served as part of Harris’ team from 2022 until 2023, urged Biden to step aside so that Harris could make history — even despite her massive defeat to President-elect Donald Trump.

“Joe Biden has been amazing but he should fulfill one last promise — to be transitional. Biden should resign and make Kamala Harris the first woman president,” Simmons posted on X.

“It’d turn [the] tables on Trump, keep Kamala from presiding over Jan. 6 make it easier for next woman to run.”

I’m not sure how that would turn the tables on Trump, he’d be like “oh, well, whatever.” And, Simmons is certainly not the first, this has been floating around Twitter and lefty blogs since Wednesday. Regardless, would Biden actually do this? I think he and Jill are holding a major grudge against her for being part of the cabal that forced him out of the re-election race. Does anyone actually think Biden’s “garbage” comment was simply Joe being Joe, or, planned? It sure looked like Joe was reading a script, and, they had to know that it would play poorly for Kamala. He hasn’t actually been a big helper for Kamala. You barely saw him. And then there is this

Joe might have simply having fun, but, it’s in the midst of his VP campaigning for POTUS. You know Jill knows she should be wearing blue. You do not get to this level without this knowledge.

Biden, Trump to meet at the White House on Wednesday

U.S. President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump will meet on Wednesday at the White House on Biden’s invitation, a White House spokesperson said on Saturday.

Trump will take office on Jan. 20 after defeating current Vice President Kamala Harris in the Nov. 5 presidential election.

“At President Biden’s invitation, President Biden and President-elect Trump will meet in the Oval Office on Wednesday,” Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement.

No way this isn’t a slap in the face of Kamala, Obama, and the Democrats.
