Bummer: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Ban All Electronic Devices

Iran’s Guards ban communications devices after strike on Hezbollah, security officials say

Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has ordered all members to stop using any type of communication devices after thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by its Hezbollah allies in Lebanon blew up in deadly attacks last week, two senior Iranian security officials told Reuters.

One of the security officials said a large-scale operation is underway by the IRGC to inspect all devices, not just communication equipment. He said most of these devices were either homemade or imported from China and Russia.

Iran was concerned about infiltration by Israeli agents, including Iranians on Israel’s payroll and a thorough investigation of personnel has already begun, targeting mid and high-ranking members of the IRGC, added the official, who declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter. The security official declined to give details on how the IRGC force, comprising 190,000 personnel, are communicating. “For now, we are using end-to-end encryption in messaging systems,” he said.

According to the same official, there is widespread concern among Iran’s ruling establishment. IRGC officials have reached out to Hezbollah for technical assessments, and several examples of exploded devices have been sent to Tehran for examination by Iranian experts.

Man, that’s a real shame. How will the IRGC troops get their TikTok dance videos? Really, this may end up being something that goes on for a long time, and, if Israel is smart (and they are) they’ll get some pagers, phones, and walkie talkies mixed in that they can blow up in a few months, especially for a big wig. Throw IRGC and other Iranian communications into disarray.

Democrats Pushing Hard For Climate (scam) Literacy

Of course, most of the Democrats pushing for this have still failed to give up their own use of fossil fuels

Democrats Want ‘Climate Literacy’ In Schools As Actual Literacy Slips

The Democratic Party is pushing to increase “literacy” on climate change-related material in America’s schools while students are performing poorly with respect to actual literacy.

The party’s education platform mentions the importance of “climate literacy” for American K-12 students several times, emphasizing the purported need for students to be able to understand and interpret information relating to climate change. Meanwhile, the average reading score for both fourth and eighth grade students in 2022 had fallen by three points relative to 2019, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).

“We will equip students with the knowledge and skills to understand complex scientific issues, counter the rising tide of denialism by promoting environmental and climate literacy, and reverse the Trump Administration’s cuts to the National Environmental Education Act,” the platform states.

What they’re really doing is simply indoctrinating the kids, who already have trouble reading.

Less than 50% of all fourth grade students were able to read at or above the standard for proficiency in 2022, with only 17% of black students and 21% of Latino pupils meeting the mark, according to the NAEP.

NAEP data “consistently” demonstrates that about two in every three American students cannot read proficiently, and about 40% of all students are effectively non-readers, according to an analysis published by Scientific American in September 2023.

Sadly, reading is way down. The kiddies just stare at their phones, flipping from video to video about every 30 seconds or less. I do not know many GenZ or Millennials who read books. It’s sad. Believe me, I spend a lot of time on the laptop, phone, and tablet. Cruising the ‘net, playing games. Twitter. But, I also play my guitar (not well), play some golf here and there, and hit the gym (where I will also read my book between sets). And read. A lot. I’m a little behind for getting around 85 books in this year, at 55 and almost done with another, but, I’ve also read a lot of books this year that were over 400-500 pages, where they’re usually around 250-300.

Actually learning to read and going out and doing their own research is bad for the climate cult, because the kiddies might run across something that counters their cult propaganda.

Chicago gangs clash with Venezuelan Tren de Aragua members: ‘Blacks against migrants’

Venezuelan migrants moving into Chicago’s South Side have caught the attention of the city’s gangs, with some fearing an impending turf war between local gangs and their Venezuelan counterparts.

“When the black gangs here get fed up with the illegalities and criminal activities of these migrants or no-citizens, the city of Chicago is going to go up in flames and there will be nothing the National Guard or the government can do about it when the bloodshed hits the streets. It’ll be blacks against migrants,” Tyrone Muhammad, a former Chicago gangster who did 20 years in prison and now runs a violence prevention program, said in a report for the New York Post.

The comments come as Chicago has seen an influx of Venezuelan migrants, according to the report, including members of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang.

With the arrival has come a rise in crime, locals told the New York Post, while some Venezuelan gangsters have started to encroach on the territory of the city’s local gangs.

So, how are TDA illegals getting to Sanctuary City Chicago? If they were being bussed in by Texas that would be in the news. Are they being shipped by the Biden-Harris administration? Just migrating to SCC on their own? Why are Los Federales not running operations to get them the F out of the US? That’s their job, right? I mean, they should have been working to stop them and turn them away in the first place, but, the Biden-Harris admin made that tough.

“There’s been a lot going on with (the migrant gangs) that nobody’s even hearing about,” Zacc Massie, a local Chicago gang member, told the New York Post. “They be moving in our own territory and robbing people but they don’t get arrested like we do. I actually talked to one on the translator app. He told me all the things he got going on; how they helped him get a car, an apartment, (EBT) card, all this stuff. They giving them thousands, we get maybe $400 a month. And they don’t even have Social Security numbers!”

Sources from local Chicago gangs told the New York Post that members of the Venezuelan gang are often heavily armed and have begun spilling into areas traditionally controlled by local gangs.

So the gang members are being supported by the Biden-Harris admin? That means they were let in, either after claiming asylum and waiting for their court date, or were flown in under a Temporary Protected Status operation. Your tax dollars are paying for this. Let me ask: are the mean online words by Mark Robinson (which are bad if true) worse than Harris bringing Venezuelan gang members to the US and supporting them? Why is she not being asked to step down?

Too Good To Ignore: Is Hamas Chief Sinwar Dead?

There are conflicting reports. If he is, people like AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and so many other Democrats will be very upset

It would be a good thing

(Jerusalem Post) The IDF stated on Sunday that they can neither confirm nor deny reports on the possible death of Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar.

Among sources consulted by The Jerusalem Post, a top source poured cold water on the notion, another source – who would be expected to have information – said they had no real information on it, while others noted disagreements within the defense establishment.

No sources referred to any kind of specific assassination operation that the IDF had carried out to kill him.

Rather, part of the debate may surround the idea that he has been out of touch with his middlemen who handled hostage negotiations and messaging – who have been out of touch for a longer period than usual.

Maybe one of the pagers or walkie talkies got him.

WWIII Watch: NATO Training For Potential Baltic Sea Showdown

US, NATO allies train with naval missiles for potential Baltic Sea showdown with Russia

NATO troops, vessels and aircraft took to the frigid North Atlantic Ocean last month to sharpen their skills for a potential future war at sea, whether in the tumultuous Atlantic or in waters closer to their hypothetical Russian adversaries.

The drills — led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe and the U.S. Navy’s 6th Fleet — “focused on the strategic waterways and airspace surrounding Iceland,” a NATO press release said, an area it described as “a vital hub in the North Atlantic.” NATO forces practiced tracking enemy naval forces — including submarines — and responding to mass casualty events.

But one part of the exercise was designed with a different region, though the same hypothetical enemy, in mind. (snip)

The North Atlantic, though, is not the expected hunting ground.

“We almost always perform our exercises in the Baltic region,” Gryglewski said, “protecting the Baltic Sea region from the enemy” as part of Poland’s coastal defense system.

In fairness, NATO militaries are always having exercises, but, it is rather concerning that the media is concerned about these current ones. There was less concern over them during the Cold War. When you have a wackjob like Putin in power, and absent, ineffective, and doddering POTUS like Biden, leaders in other NATO nations cheerleading for Zelensky to continue hitting Russian territory, well, things can go downhill very quick. Because we’re still getting headlines like

Who’s Up For Climate (scam) Week NY?

Nothing says “we’re totally doomed” like thousands and thousands of Warmists taking fossil fueled trips to NYC to discuss how YOU can be forced to pay through the nose for their doomsday cult, eh? And the media who write and publish these articles never seem to notice the hypocrisy on display

For a week, New York will be center of money-focused fight to slow climate change

The effort to save the pale blue dot called Earth is all about the green — that is, the money to finance a transition to renewable energy sources like wind and solar.

The annual Climate Week NYC and United Nations General Assembly combination is putting special emphasis on how to generate trillions of dollars to help poorer countries move away from gas, oil and coal that emit greenhouse gases and heat the planet. They also need financial aid to deal with the damage the warming is already causing.

There’s also a special U.N. summit of the future, which connects climate change and biodiversity to other pressing issues like war, and another U.N. special session on the threat of rising seas. And the presidents of climate negotiations in 2023, 2024 and 2025 are seeking to push nations into a new round of dramatic pollution cuts with their own efforts.

Would these be the same types of “pollution cuts” they refuse to make themselves? Or how about wanting you to pay, not themselves?

This week starts a two-month sprint in which three different cities on three different continents host high-level meetings that may be humanity’s “last chance” to avoid exceeding globally agreed upon warming limits, according to one expert. After Climate Week in New York, Azerbaijan’s capital of Baku hosts the U.N.’s 29th climate negotiation conference. Then, leaders of the 20 biggest countries head to Rio de Janeiro. And early next year, all the world’s countries must submit new national targets to cut emissions of heat-trapping gases.

Sounds great, lots of Warmists taking lots of massive numbers of fossil fueled trips to talk about how to take your money and restrict your lives.

Underscoring everything is the money to fix the problems.

“It’s definitely about the greens,” said World Resources Institute President Ani Dasgupta. “”It is about greening the world and not getting the green to green the world.”

Why do they need Other People’s money when they could all make their own lives carbon neutral?

Pakistani Pleads Not-Guilty In Plot To Kill Donald Trump, Other American Officials

There’s obviously lots and lots of news stories out there, it’s easy to miss stuff, but, one would think that the arrest of this foreigner would have been front page, top shelf news across outlets, guaranteed to catch your attention. This is a big deal

Suspect pleads not guilty in alleged murder-for-hire plot against Donald Trump

A Pakistani national with ties to Iran pleaded not guilty Monday to federal charges alleging he attempted to commit an act of terrorism and murder-for-hire as part of a scheme to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

The suspect, Asif Merchant, was ordered detained pending trial during the hearing in Brooklyn federal court.

Coincidentally, Merchant’s arraignment came the same day a different man — 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh — appeared in a Florida court to answer firearm charges connected to an unrelated apparent alleged attempt on Trump’s life.

Merchant was indicted on federal charges in August, after being previously arrested and charged by complaint the month prior. If convicted of the charges contained in the indictment, he faces up to life in prison

Did you hear about this in July?

“The Justice Department will not tolerate Iran’s efforts to target our country’s public officials and endanger our national security,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement following the indictment. “As these terrorism and murder for hire charges against Asif Merchant demonstrate, we will continue to hold accountable those who would seek to carry out Iran’s lethal plotting against Americans.”

So, Iran was involved in trying to assassinate a past U.S. president? What is the Biden-Harris admin doing about this diplomatically?

After spending time in Iran, Merchant arrived in the United States from Pakistan in April and contacted a person he believed could assist him with the scheme to kill Trump, the complaint alleged. That person reported Merchant’s conduct to law enforcement and became a confidential source, according to the indictment.

Merchant sought to hire hitmen who could carry out the assassination of Trump and others, the indictment alleged. Merchant allegedly explained his plot involved multiple criminal schemes: stealing documents or USB drives from a target’s home; planning a protest; and killing a politician or government official, the indictment alleged.

He was arrested as he was attempting to leave the country. Apparently, this was big enough to catch the eye of Congressman Jim Jordan, who wants information out of Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, wondering how in the f*** this guy was let into the country

(National Review) A resident of Pakistan, Merchant spent time in Iran before he traveled to the U.S. in April 2024 to begin recruiting people to help him assassinate U.S. government officials, the court papers indicate. Merchant was let into the country through Houston, Texas, and received parole, federal law enforcement sources told Fox News. The FBI was tracking Merchant before he entered the U.S., and his presence on American soil was needed to build a case against him before the arrest.

So, he did not come in on a visitors visa, he simply flew in and claimed asylum? Really? And stuck around for a few months trying to put together a murder plot? How serious was the FBI in tracking this guy after he was let in? Enough that Merchant was speaking to FBI agents playing a role, making Merchant think he was dealing with other Bad People.
