Democrat Run Sanctuary Cities Not Ready For Winter

It’s super easy to declare yourself a sanctuary city, refusing to cooperate with federal authorities, primarily ICE, and supporting unfettered illegal immigration. It’s something else entirely to have to put your beliefs into practice

Democratic cities brace for a nightmare winter housing migrants

Migrants in Chicago huddle on the floors of police stations and sleep in city buses kept running overnight to block out the cold. In Massachusetts, where the emergency shelter system hit capacity earlier this month, the state is converting office space into shelters and at least one local group is stockpiling sleeping bags.

And in New York, where shelters are also full, the city has taken the extraordinary steps of providing migrants one-way plane tickets to as far away as Morocco and have contemplated handing out tents to newly-arriving migrants so they can sleep in parks.

Northern cities and states that have been overwhelmed by a surge in migrants are now out of room to house them just as the weather turns cold — a potentially life-threatening situation that’s inflaming local political tensions as the Biden administration largely leaves these Democratic strongholds to fend for themselves.

“The state that took my ancestors in fleeing from pogroms in Ukraine will not allow asylum seekers to freeze to death on our doorsteps,” Gov. JB Pritzker said last week, referring to his family’s immigration to Illinois.

In Sanctuary City Chicago, today will have a high of 39. Sunday is 36 with potential for snow. Monday is 30. Have fun! You wanted all those illegals to enter the nation, now you deal with it. And for all the illegals, well, you wanted to come to the U.S. Enjoy!

A DHS official not authorized to speak publicly said about $800 million has been allocated for temporary shelter and other services through various emergency food and shelter programs.

How could $800 million help legal U.S. citizens? Quite a bit, eh?

Pritzker said at least $65 million of the new $160 million the state is investing to address its migrant surge will go toward a “winterized soft shelter site” to house up to 2,000 migrants

$160 million sure could help the citizens of Illinois, eh?

Pritzker repeated his concern that the migrant crisis is an issue requiring broader federal coordination and said Chicago officials haven’t “moved fast enough” to deal with it: “We’re stepping in here to try to help and accelerate this process.”

Hey, he’s the governor: why can he not get things done? Isn’t that his job?

“As the temperature starts to drop, it is crucial — now more than ever — that the federal government finish the job they started,” Adams’ spokesperson Kayla Mamelak Altus said in a statement. “We need meaningful financial help and a national decompression strategy. New York City cannot continue to manage a national crisis almost entirely on its own.”

Hey, he and his Democrat ilk wanted illegal immigration: now they get to deal with it. What is a “national decompression strategy”? In my mind it’s shutting the border as much as possible, turning away all illegals and people demanding asylum (no applying outside), deporting most here in the U.S., and taking a several decade pause to allow those who are here that are being allowed to stay to assimilate, just has been done many times. To Adams, it probably means lots of cash and shipping illegals elsewhere.

Meanwhile, good news: lots of Chinese are being caught crossing the border. 24,000. That we know about.

UN Head Guterres Takes Long Fossil Fueled Flight To Antarctica

climate cowAhead of international climate talks, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres visited globally-important Antarctica, where ice that’s been frozen for millions of years is melting due to human-caused global warming, to send the message that “we absolutely need to act immediately.”

“What happens in Antarctica doesn’t stay in Antarctica,” Guterres said. In addition to reflecting lots of sunlight away from the Earth, Antarctica regulates the planet’s climate because its ice and cold waters drive major ocean currents. When massive amounts of ice melt, it raises sea levels and changes things like salinity and the habitats of ocean animals.

At the annual Conference of the Parties, known as COP, nations are supposed to strengthen commitments to addressing climate change. But so far these have not been nearly enough to slow global warming, caused by greenhouse gas emissions that result from the burning of fossil fuels.

Guterres is on a three-day official visit to the southern continent. Chilean President Gabriel Boric joined him for an official visit to Chile’s Eduardo Frei Air Force Base on King George Island. Scientists and members of the Chilean military gathered with Guterres aboard a ship where they viewed glaciers and sea birds, including penguins.

So, he’s flying all over parts of South America, certainly using fossil fueled SUVs, and fossil fueled ships. Notice that neither of the reporters (one of them was reporting from Philly, for some reason, without even being present) mention how he’s traveling, except for that one ship. And then he’ll be flying to the oil rich nation of Dubai for COP28. Will he take a sailing ship?

Seriously, what’s this “we need to act immediately” when he has a massive carbon footprint from fossil fuels?

IDF Spokesman Says Israel Is Following Hamas Big Wigs Around The World

Israel-Gaza hostages – latest: 24 captives including women and children released by Hamas

Israeli security officials said late on Friday they were reviewing a list of the potential next wave of hostages who could be released in the coming days.

Earlier on Friday, a total of 24 hostages were released from Gaza and transported through the Rafah crossing into Egypt after seven weeks in captivity.

The exchange is the beginning phase of an agreement expected to free upwards of 50 captives of Hamas.

The militant group released 13 Israeli women and children to the Red Cross Friday afternoon as Hamas and Israel maintained a temporary ceasefire, while 39 Palestinian women and teen boys have been released so far from Israeli detention in return.

Unfortunately, the scumbag terrorists got many of their terrorists back. Maybe Israel loaded them up with something that will secretly kill them soon?

IDF is following Hamas leaders around the world, spokesperson warns

IDF spokesman R-Adm. Daniel Hagari on Friday night referred to senior Hamas officials, saying that “they are being followed around in Gaza and around the world.”

Hagari’s warning signals to the Hamas leadership in Qatar and around the world that the IDF will pursue them wherever they are.

This calls back to several famous Israeli operations to eliminate the masterminds of terror attacks against Israelis, such as those operations that took place in the wake of the Munich Massacre.

The Mossad stopped doing this mostly after the Oslo accords, but, will still doing it now and then. Mostly they wack them in Gaza

If Hagari’s announcement signals a new era in targeted killings abroad, this could mean that the senior Hamas members holed up in Qatar suddenly find that they are unable to go about their daily lives without looking over their shoulders.

Whether they will or won’t, it will freak those senior terrorist leaders out, forcing them to change what they do. The Mossad could simply show up and act like they’re doing something. But, I suspect many of those senior Hamas leaders are soon going to have accidents.

Kawasaki To Release EV Motorcycle That Has People Wondering If It’s A Joke

Kawasaki sparks debate after revealing specs of its first-ever electric motorcycle: ‘This is a joke…’

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has released some details about its first-ever electric motorcycles, eliciting quite a reaction from commenters on the internet — although it probably isn’t quite the reaction the brand was hoping for.

The electric motorcycles, named the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and Z e-1, are about to be launched in the United States, Canada, and the UK.

However, these vehicles’ specs make it clear that they are nowhere close in performance to Kawasaki’s gas-powered motorcycles. The range of the bikes is under 40 miles, and their top speeds are around 55 miles per hour, making them “purely urban-oriented motorcycles,” according to Electrek.

While the prices are fairly competitive, starting at $7,599 and $7,299, respectively, in the U.S., the overall package certainly did not impress Electrek’s commenters, many of whom were left in disbelief.

Competitive with what? A Kawasaki Ninja 400 is around $5,700 tops, with a top speed of 116mph and can probably get you about 100 miles per tank (it’s a small size motorcycle). You can get a bunch of other small size bikes for less that are faster and will go further and you can refill in about 3 minutes.

“This is a joke,” wrote one commenter. “It’s a $7,500 electric bicycle without pedals. Absolutely no one should buy this, not only because it’s a terrible product and complete waste of money, but to send a message. A message that a company can’t just release a terrible product and people will buy it anyway just because of the name on the side.”

But, some will buy it because they are Saving The Planet. The best part is when the battery catches on fire right in your crotch!

Speaking of EV batteries

(Yahoo Finance) Ford chief executive Jim Farley is downsizing plans for a new low-cost battery cell plant in the automaker’s home state of Michigan amid a sharp slowdown slump in EV sales.

The market for electric vehicles is currently experiencing a “trough of disillusionment,” according to industry researchers at Cox Automotive, spurred in part by soaring borrowing costs that put the price of an EV out of reach for many Americans.

In a statement on Tuesday, Ford said it would reduce the planned factory size by some 40% to around 20 gigawatt-hours of annual cell capacity, roughly enough for 300,000 cars. Staffing would drop by a third to 1,700 jobs.

Just wait till the metals necessary start running low.

Three Republican Squishes Working With Democrats For “Compromise” Immigration Bill

How many times have we seen Republicans work with Democrats to create an immigration bill that provides a pathway to amnesty citizenship with a promise to do something to secure the border in the future? Especially when Lindsay Graham is involved?

“Lankford is now working to turn a one-page summary of the party’s border plan into legislation,” Politico reported.

Behind closed doors, additional Republican senators are likely cooperating with the group of three.

The three Democrat-aligned senators in the group are Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO).

You can bet there will be several more squishy who will be thrilled to give amnesty, er, a pathway to citizenship while doing little to actually secure the border and remove the conditions that cause people to show up and demand asylum.

The previous times there have been attempts at “compromise” bills, like with the Gang of Eight, it made it even easier for illegals to come to the U.S., and essentially gave the tens of millions here in the U.S. amnesty. What they called a pathway to citizenship was simply pro-forma, unlike the pathway that occurs when foreigners apply to become citizens. And like with Obama’s DREAMers executive order, no one will truly be vetted and we’ll end up with a bunch of criminals.

Any legislation really should include a provision that if you are caught in the U.S. illegally, it doesn’t matter why, you should be deported immediately, and any assets seized to pay for that. And no “refugees” should be brought in from hostile nations or ones that support Islamic extremism. And any refugees currently in the U.S. who push Islamic extremism should be deported immediately. And those here on legal visas cannot bring more than their wife and kids. No parents, grandparents, relatives. And those visas should not be renewed again and again and again.

Climate Cultists Block Macy’s Parade In Solidarity With Terrorists

(USA Today) Video footage from several news organizations showed demonstrators blocking the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York to protest the treatment of Palestinians by Israel in the ongoing war.

Local news outlets Fox 5 and Newsday, as well as online news site FreedomNews.TV, published videos appearing to show protesters, donning white jumpsuits, crossing spectator barricades in front of the ongoing parade. The incident appeared to take place Thursday morning.

Footage appeared to show the demonstration on Sixth Avenue through Midtown Manhattan along the parade route. The protesters carried a banner that read “Liberation for Palestine and Planet,” videos showed.

Their jumpsuits included words such as “Capitalism,” “Colonialism” and “Racism.”

Their clothes, shoes, beanies, banners, and smartphones are all made with petroleum. There’s a chance their glue was also made with petroleum.

We know what they mean by liberation for the planet: no fossil fuels and living like’s it’s 1593. What do they mean by liberation for Palestine? Will anyone in the media ask them?

The climate advocate coalition Seven Circles Alliance has claimed responsibility for the demonstration, to protest what they called “the ongoing ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians,” according to an Instagram post. The group could not immediately be reached for comment.

No matter the issue, the climate cult will attempt to make it about climate doom.

On Eve Of Hostage Release, Hamas Calls For Supporters To Rise Up

Hamas calls for supporters in West Bank and beyond to rise up against Israel

Hamas has called on its supporters in the West Bank and elsewhere to rise up against Israeli forces despite earlier agreeing to a ceasefire and hostage exchange in Gaza.

On Thursday, Hamas officials signed off on a four-day ceasefire with Israel but hours later a spokesman for the terrorist group’s armed wing called for an escalation of “confrontation” outside of Gaza.

“We call for escalation of the confrontation with the occupation throughout the West Bank and all resistance fronts,” Abu Ubaida said.

It was hoped that any pause in fighting between Israel and Hamas in Gaza would also halt skirmishes between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the militant group Hezbollah, which is based in Lebanon.

So far, most in the West Bank and other areas have been reticent to get involved beyond some basic minor attacks, possibly seeing that Hamas finally pushed Israel too far, and they do not want to be on the end of an ass whoopin’, especially seeing as how Israel plans for at least two more months of operations, and would be more than happy to decimate other Israel/Jew hating terrorists.

Meanwhile

Too bad we’re not doing that here, mostly with those who are here on visas and as refugees. Scoop them up and send them away.
