Bummer: John Kerry Hit With Ethics Complaint Over Shoddy Climate Deaths Claim

Seriously, what claims do climate cultists make that aren’t shoddy/false/fearmongering?

Watchdog hits John Kerry with science ethics complaint over climate change deaths claim

John Kerry climateA government watchdog group filed an ethics complaint against Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry on Tuesday morning, alleging he spread misinformation about climate change.

In its complaint, Protect the Public’s Trust (PPT) alleged that Kerry violated federal scientific integrity policy — which requires officials to communicate scientific information accurately based on the best available evidence — when he said in May that greenhouse gas emissions kill 15 million people per year worldwide. PPT requested a federal investigation into Kerry’s comments.

“15 million people are dying every single year around this planet as a consequence of greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere, in the air which travels around and drops in the form of pollution and is warming the ocean at record rates, changing the chemistry of the ocean itself,” Kerry remarked on May 10 at the Department of Agriculture’s AIM for Climate Summit.

Kerry later added that, in addition to the 15 million people who die due to the “lack of quality” air, another 10 million people die on an annual basis globally as a result of extreme heat.

However, PPT’s complaint Monday, sent to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the State Department’s Office of Inspector General, noted Kerry’s figures appear to greatly overstate the death toll attributed to greenhouse gas emissions.

A Warmist “exaggerating”? Huh. Same guy is taking lots and lots of fossil fueled private jet travel

Kerry meets Pope Francis privately, says he’s in great form and spirits

VATICAN CITY, June 19 (Reuters) – U.S. climate envoy John Kerry met Pope Francis on Monday, the first official to have a private audience with him since his discharge from hospital, and told Reuters that he found the pontiff “in great spirits and in great form”.

How many people is John Kerry, who was in Vietnam, killing with his massive carbon footprint?

“Despite the enormity of Mr. Kerry’s claim, he did not cite any scientific evidence for its basis,” the PPT complaint stated. “Nor is there any apparent scientific research that supports a claim that there are currently 15 million people dying yearly due to greenhouse gas emissions — or any other single cause of death that is tracked.”

“Such a blatant misstatement of scientific information to the public is, by its nature, a threat to public trust and good governance,” it continued. “It is made far worse when such misinformation is used to publicly support sweeping policy changes like trying to reach net-zero emissions in agriculture, which would have untold effects upon the economy and lives of the American people writ large.”

That’s how the cult works: scaremonger in an attempt to get the Government to force Other People to give up their money, freedom, and life choices.

LA Times Is Dismayed By “Gun Violence” In California, Which Has Massive Gun Control

California is ranked an A by the Giffords Law Center for their huge number of gun laws, which, of course, primarily affect law abiding citizens who want to protect themselves from the crime that’s rampant in the People’s Republik Of California due to the soft on crime approach of the government

Gun violence rocks nation over holiday weekend, with multi-victim shootings in at least 7 states

First, it was shootings in Southern California that sent revelers scrambling, fearing for their lives over the holiday weekend. One person was killed Saturday in San Diego during a Juneteenth celebration, and at least eight were injured in gunfire at a house party in Carson.

Hours later, in Madera County, a father and son were killed in two linked shootings.

California’s weekend of violence also included a shootout Sunday from cars traveling for a mile along San Francisco’s wharf, with six injured.

But the spate of violence was not confined to the Golden State, as shootings — some deadly — grabbed headlines in at least seven states on what was supposed to be a celebratory weekend of fathers and freedom.

There’s a common thread in almost all those shootings, including the weekend shootings through Monday: they were almost all in heavily Democratic Party run cities which are low on crime control, and involved Juneteenth parties.

At San Diego’s Liberty Station, amid a Juneteenth event Saturday night that drew hundreds, gunfire killed one person and wounded another, according to officials. Police called it an “isolated incident” that appeared to stem from a dispute, but the gunshots sparked chaos at what was supposed to be a family-friendly event, witnesses said.

Also that night, two people were killed and three were injured when a shooter fired “randomly” into the crowd at a Washington state campground near a venue where a music festival was taking place, police said. The shooter was among the three who were hurt.

Early Sunday, near Willowbrook, Ill., outside Chicago, where hundreds had gathered at a parking lot for a Juneteenth celebration, at least 23 people were shot, one fatally. Officials said “multiple rounds from multiple weapons” were fired.

About the same time in St. Louis, 11 youths ranging in age from 15 to 19 were shot at what officials described as a party, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A 17-year-old died, officials said.

And because of mostly one demographic shooting people for “disputes”, you should have your gun taken away from you.

“It’s not just people living in urban areas. It’s not just one type of person. … It was really large shares of people in all kinds of different demographic groups,” said Liz Hamel, vice president and director of public opinion and survey research with the Kaiser Family Foundation, which conducted the poll. She said the weekend’s shootings reinforce the need to treat gun violence in America as a public health issue.

“It is hard to ignore that it is a health issue when you look at things like guns being the leading cause of death for children in this country,” Hamel said.

It was almost all one demographic. Facts do not lie. Most of the shootings were at parties that did not involve whites, Asians, or Hispanics. Maybe it’s time to look at why one group is responsible for shootings and murders way outside its population proportion. Call this racist if you want, facts do not lie. And most occur in areas run by Democrats. And how do all these shootings happen in cities and states run by Democrats with massive gun control? Illinois is ranked an A- by Giffords.

Surprise: Democrat Donor Arrested For Starting Fire Blamed On ‘Climate Change’

Say, I wonder why this story isn’t getting more coverage in the Credentialed Media

Democrat Donor Arrested for Starting Massive Fire Democrats Blamed on Climate Change

What happened: Authorities busted a Democratic donor for allegedly starting a “ginormous inferno” in Yosemite National Park. Democratic politicians had insisted climate change was to blame for the blaze, which destroyed more than 100 homes and injured several firefighters in July 2022.

Edward Fredrick Wackerman (his actual name) of Mariposa, Calif., faces a number of charges including aggravated arson following his arrest on Friday.

By the numbers: The arson suspect has donated $1,775 to Democratic candidates and committees since 2020, government records show, including a $1,000 donation to Tim Ryan’s failed U.S. Senate campaign in 2022 and $400 to the Lincoln Project, a disgraced liberal super PAC.

What they’re saying: “Ed Wackerman is facing several felony charges, including aggravated arson. These charges carry serious legal consequences and the District Attorney is committed to ensuring a fair trial and upholding justice,” Mariposa County District Attorney Walter Wall said in a statement. Authorities did not say how Wackerman is believed to have started the fire.

In other words, this Democrat donor intentionally set the fire. I wonder why?

What they said: “Thank you to all the firefighters and first responders working tirelessly under difficult conditions to combat the #OakFire,” Sen. Alex Padilla (D., Calif.) wrote on Twitter on July 25, 2022. “Worsening drought and severe weather will only continue to put lives and property at risk from wildfire if we don’t take climate action NOW.”

I remember all sorts of Warmist wackjobs blaming ‘climate change’ for the Yosemite wildfire, failing to consider that their extreme enviro-weenie policies of refusing to clear the brush, provide firebreaks, and no culling created a dangerous condition. It’s not anthropogenic climate change when a Democrat sets it on fire.

Good News: Biden Regime Just Gave China Greenlight To Invade Taiwan

What’s your bet? I’m thinking sometime in December

Blinken says US ‘does not support Taiwan independence’ during China visit

China Votes BidenSecretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated U.S. support of the “One China” policy on Monday, saying that the U.S. does not support Taiwanese independence following a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“We do not support Taiwan independence,” Blinken said in a press conference on Monday. “We remain opposed to any unilateral changes to the status quo by either side. We continue to expect the peaceful resolution of cross strait differences. We remain committed to continuing our responsibilities under the Taiwan Relations Act including making sure Taiwan has the ability to defend itself.”

“At the same time, we and many others have deep concerns about some of the provocative actions that China has taken in recent years going back to 2016,” Blinken added. “And the reason that this is a concern for so many countries, not just the United States, is that were there to be a crisis over Taiwan, the likelihood is that could produce an economic crisis that could affect quite literally the entire world.”

“Fifty percent of commercial container traffic goes through the Taiwan Strait every day. Seventy percent of semiconductors are manufactured in Taiwan. If as a result of a crisis that was taken offline, it would have dramatic consequences for virtually every country around the world,” he added.

It’s not really a change in position, but, it’s a Bad Thing for a Biden regime member to say it out-loud and forthright, especially since the Biden regime is pretty darned week internationally, with one thing leading to another, such as the horrible Afghanistan withdrawal leading to Ukraine. China will see this as pure weakness, like most things Biden. It is a tightrope

But the means that China will need to use to achieve its ascendancy over Asia are military. And Taiwan occupies a central position along Beijing’s path to this goal. (snip)

It’s in this hard-nosed context that Taiwan takes on such importance. We might admire its democracy and entrepreneurial spirit, but those are not enough to justify Americans going to war. Instead, Taiwan is important to Americans for two reasons: because it is militarily critical and because it is a bellwether.

First, Taiwan is vital to the defense of Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines. If China occupied Taiwan, it would pose a much greater threat to these countries and be able to project power deep into the Pacific, a very real possibility as we can see from China’s activities in Solomon Islands and its construction of an enormous oceangoing navy, including aircraft carriers.

Second, Taiwan is the canary in the coal mine. Credibility arguments always deserve to be met with skepticism. But it is only rational for Taiwan’s neighbors to look at how we treat Taiwan as an indicator of how we would treat them. Whether we like it or not, Taiwan’s fate will play a major role in whether countries think America is reliable as the cornerstone of the coalition. Indeed, as a result, if Taiwan fell we would probably have to do far more aggressive things to prove we were reliable at all.

China is salivating at being able to finally retake Taiwan and knock the U.S. down.

NJ Schools Start Their Climate (scam) Indoctrination Early

It’s a full day in Leftist run schools. They have to learn about LGBT stuff (especially trans), anal and oral sex, BLM, how white people are evil, and ‘climate change’. No wonder test scores are so bad for math, reading, and history, among others. No time to teach it!

Seems a little bit cultish, eh?

In June 2020, New Jersey became the first state in the country to mandate climate change education in schools.

Weren’t the kids still locked out of their schools at that time?

Under this mandate, which went into effect during the 2022-23 school year, K-12 public schools must integrate discussions of the environment into classes like science, social studies and even the visual and performing arts. The goal is to further young people’s understanding of climate change and create a generation of climate-conscious consumers.

Visual and performing arts? Sounds a bit cultish

For an article published last week, Cara Buckley, a reporter on the Climate desk at The New York Times, went back to school in May (for half of a day) to understand how climate change is taught in classrooms. She observed a first-grade class at Slackwood Elementary School in Lawrenceville, N.J., as students participated in discussions about the environment, animal extinctions and — one that really got their attention — the implications of shark poop.

None of those have anything to do with the climate scam

In an interview, she shared more about her experience at the school, including students’ reactions to the recent wildfire smoke in the Northeast and the unsavory topic of vegetables. This interview has been edited.

Huh. The news interviewing the news.

Why did you decide to visit a school in person?

I write about people who are working toward small-scale climate change solutions. We need huge shifts to combat climate change; some are underway. But I’ve always been curious about what people are doing in their everyday lives to fix things.

My editor, Lyndsey Layton, had flagged this news to me in New Jersey. A lot of parents really wrestle with talking to their kids about climate change; they worry about freaking them out. Understandably, some people are terrified and heartbroken. That fear was where this idea came from.

Nothing like mass-indoctrination while scaring the pants off the little tykes, right?

The kids were so excited about this stuff, too. I was so struck by the way the teacher really got them to think. One of the big discussions in class was, What would happen if sharks disappeared? It immediately sparked this conversation about the importance of shark food, their poop and how it helps some fish and the ecosystem. The kids were paying attention to every bit of it.

So excited and impressionable, happy to be indoctrinated, rather than icky math and science.

Crazy Today: Teacher Calls Kid Who Won’t Endorse Belief That Classmate Is A Cat “Despicable”

Don’t leftists keep telling us that they are, in fact, the adults in the room? That they’re so much smarter than everyone else? Shouldn’t teachers be a little more grounded in reality? How many times have you seen teachers indulging and extolling, even pushing, crazy for their students?

Pupil who questioned classmate ‘identifying as a cat’ called ‘despicable’ by teacher

A Church of England school teacher told a pupil she was “despicable” after she refused to accept that her classmate identifies as a cat.

The 13-year-old girl and her friend were reprimanded by their teacher at Rye College, in East Sussex, on Friday at the end of a Year 8 class on “life education” in which they were told they can “be who you want to be and how you identify is up to you”.

The row, which has infuriated parents, was allegedly sparked by one of them asking a fellow pupil: “How can you identify as a cat when you’re a girl?”

Their teacher told them they were being reported to a senior leader and were no longer welcome at the school, part of the Aquinas Trust, a Church of England network of 11 schools, if they continued to express the view that only boys and girls exist.

I thought I had read an article that the whole “identifying as an animal” thing was made up? No?

The Telegraph has heard a recording of the heated exchange taken by one of the pupils, in which the teacher starts by saying “how dare you – you’ve just really upset someone” by “questioning their identity”.

The pupil responded: “If they want to identify as a cat or something then they are genuinely unwell – crazy.”

The teacher then asks the girls “where did you get this idea from that there are only two genders”, adding: “It is not an opinion.”

The teacher said that “gender is not linked to the parts that you were born with, gender is about how you identify, which is what I said right from the very beginning of the lesson.”

So, identifying as a cat is now considered a gender?

A parent of another Year 8 pupil at the school who has received the same lesson told The Telegraph: “I understand the point the teacher was attempting to make, what bothers me is the shutting down of debate in such a threatening and aggressive manner, which I don’t believe is appropriate in an educational setting.

“Regardless of the subject, education should serve to build awareness of differing points of view to widen the understanding of a subject. It shouldn’t be a case of indoctrination.”

Except, that is exactly what Leftists do, and they run the education system in the U.S., UK, and many other nations. They do see it as indoctrination, and if you won’t toe the line there will be consequences. There’s way more at the article if you’re up to reading massive crazy.

Brandon To Fly To San Francisco To Announce $600 Million In Climate Scam Funding

Nothing says “We Need To Do Something About Climate Change” like a fossil fueled helicopter to the airport, taking a FF jumbo jet across the country, with a backup jet and fighter jets following, then a massive FF vehicle convoy, right? Will he be flying directly from Delaware, since he took a fossil fueled trip to his beach house yet again?

Pres. Biden to announce over $600 million for climate projects during Bay Area visit

President Joe Biden will announce new funding to tackle the U.S. climate crisis during his visit to California.

The president will be in the Bay Area for a series of campaign fundraisers on Monday. But he’ll also mix in official business with a stop focusing on climate change in Palo Alto.

The White House says President Biden will be highlighting both the urgency of taking bold climate action and strengthening America’s resilience.

“The President will tour a coastal wetland and announce more than $600 million for climate adaption projects through his Investing in America agenda to better protect our nation’s power grid from extreme weather events and prepare coastal and Great Lakes communities for climate change impacts like sea level rise, tidal flooding, and storm surge,” according to a White House official.

The White House says funding is coming from both the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Two bills that do nothing for their names.

That’s just a smattering. I’m confident you’ve read many more yourself. Perhaps the money would be better spent dealing with the collapse of San Francisco. Or, hell, if you’re going to piss it away on climate scam stuff, do it elsewhere, rather than a dying city.

The president returns to the Bay Area to raise money for his 2024 reelection presidential campaign.

And that’s why he’s really going, so he doesn’t have to pay for the trip, he can say most is official business.

NY Times Is Shocked That Defund The Police Failed

They just don’t fully seem to get that most citizens may not like the police when they get pulled over, almost always for something that was their own fault, but, like the notion of being able to call the police when something bad happens to them. They do not want fewer police, and do not want police who are reticent to enforce the law

How ‘Defund the Police’ Failed

unintended consequencesMore than three years after the murder of George Floyd focused the nation’s attention on racism in law enforcement, Minneapolis’ 3rd Precinct police station, which was set ablaze and looted during the tumultuous days after Floyd’s death, remains abandoned.

Once the city’s most modern police station, the building is now boarded up, tagged with graffiti and ringed with concertina wire — an unintentional monument to the national debate over public safety that led Minneapolis officials to consider disbanding the Police Department.

But three years after “defund the police” became a rallying cry across the nation, efforts to dramatically divert resources from police or do away with conventional policing entirely have largely been abandoned, too, in Minneapolis and beyond.

The movement faltered in Minneapolis after activists failed to build broad support for a goal that lacked a clear definition, and an actionable plan. As crime surged during the early years of the coronavirus pandemic and officers left the police force in droves, Republicans seized on the debate to paint Democrats as being recklessly soft on crime.

Seized! I’m thinking lots of average Democrats wanted nothing to do with defunding the police. Especially in their own neighborhoods. Including many Democratic Party politicians/Elites who called for defunding the police then demanded police protection in their own areas, or hired private security.

The movement to abolish conventional police departments predates the murder of Floyd. In the years before his death, a Minneapolis group called MPD150 had been building grassroots support for a “police-free future” — a vision that contemplated a phased end to conventional policing by making dramatic investments in housing and social services.

How was that working out? Seriously, we saw this put into place in many Democratic areas, where cops quit in droves, and those left tend to ignore lots of low level crimes.

Its first move was to corner Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis outside his home in June 2020, and demand that he commit to abolishing the Police Department. As cameras rolled, one of the movement’s leaders made clear that they were seeking the outright disbandment of the Police Department, not a reallocation of resources.

“We don’t want no more police,” she said. “We don’t want people with guns toting around in our community.”

Except for all the thugs, hoodlums, and gangbangers wandering around with illegal firearms.

As police ranks thinned out, violent crime soared. Gang violence, once a modest problem in Minneapolis, became such a challenge that federal prosecutors charged 45 people suspected of being gang members in a pair of racketeering indictments in May, a first in the city.

Many residents have given up on the local public transportation system, where some stations increasingly have become gathering points for people who openly smoke fentanyl and other drugs. The number of car thefts and carjackings skyrocketed. As of early June, more than 4,100 vehicles had been stolen in the city this year, nearly twice as many as during the same period last year.

No one could have possibly seen that coming, right? Ironically the correct solution is to properly fund the police allowing them to fire bad officers and hire good ones. To hold them accountable, and, quite frankly, not allow the public unions to stand in the way, protecting bad officers. Allowing them to hire mental health professionals and do more training. Allowing them to do more proactive policing instead of reactive. The places that want to disband the police tend to have the highest crime rates. Violent crime, shootings, drugs, prostitution, and assaults are all considerably higher than in neighborhoods that don’t think about it or talk about it. Did they think crime would magically disappear without the police in those neighborhoods?

You can bet that all the people working for the NY Times, especially the high end suits, are happy to have police around. But, now, so many areas in Dem run cities are dealing with the idiotic push, even the ones where they’re backtracking.
