NYC Mayor Wants “Migrants” Put Up In Private Residences

All of the Democratic Party voting, sanctuary city believing, illegal immigration loving NYC residents should be supportive of this, right? They’ll all step forward and volunteer immediately, right? When will Mayor Adams offer to house some illegals?

Mayor Eric Adams now wants to start paying every day New Yorkers to shelter migrants in their own homes – as the Big Apple struggles to find beds for the thousands of asylum seekers still flooding into the city.

In his latest attempt to battle the ongoing migrant crisis, Adams on Monday floated a half baked “private residence” plan, which could possibly see local homeowners getting compensation to put up asylum seekers.

Hizzoner put forward the proposal as he revealed religious leaders had agreed to start housing adult male migrants overnight at 50 places of worship scattered across the five boroughs next month.

“It is my vision to take the next step to this, to go to the faith-based locales and then move to private residents, there are residents who are suffering right now because of economic challenges,” Adams said. “They have spare rooms, they have locales and if we can find a way to get over the 30-day rule and other rules that government has in its place, we can take that $4.2 billion, $4.3 maybe now, that we potentially will have to spend, and we can put it back in the pockets of everyday New Yorkers, everyday houses of worship, instead of putting it in the pockets of corporations.” (note: I included the full quote from Adams, rather than the piecemeal the article does)

I’m getting the feeling that the NY Post isn’t very supportive of the plan. Adams did say that he would pay faith based shelters $125 a night per, apparently, every single adult male they shelter…where are all the women and children? Why does it seem this is mostly adult males? Oh, and it is more than the state pays to shelter foster children.

“It would be absolute bedlam,” Park Slope resident Zainab Jah told The Post.

Her partner, Tim Naylor, who has owned their townhouse for 24 years, added migrants shouldn’t be getting a “free ride” when many New Yorkers “cannot afford a decent place of their own.”

“Even if it was worth it to homeowners, the city shouldn’t be spending our money on that kind of crap. You have enough New Yorkers who can barely afford to live,” he said.

“Before you know it we’re going to get flooded with even more migrants.”

Well, hey, NYC was super supportive of illegal aliens. I guess when only they are somewhere else.

Crazy Climate Scheme Would Have U.S. Pay $80 Trillion In Reparations By 2050

Rich countries with high greenhouse gas emissions could pay $170tn in climate reparations

Rich industrialised countries responsible for excessive levels of greenhouse gas emissions could be liable to pay $170tn in climate reparations by 2050 to ensure targets to curtail climate breakdown are met, a new study calculates.

The proposed compensation, which amounts to almost $6tn annually, would be paid to historically low-polluting developing countries that must transition away from fossil fuels despite not having yet used their “fair share” of the global carbon budget, according to the analysis published in the journal Nature Sustainability.

It is the first scheme where wealthy countries historically responsible for excessive or unjust greenhouse emissions including the UK, US, Germany, Japan and Russia, are held liable to compensate countries which have contributed the least to global heating – but must decarbonise their economies by 2050 if we are to keep global heating below 1.5C and avert the most catastrophic climate breakdown.

In this ambitious scenario, the study found that 55 countries including most of sub-Saharan Africa and India would have to sacrifice more than 75% of their fair share of the carbon budget.

So, developing nations would have to forgo all things that made 1st World nations 1st World nations.

On the other hand, the UK has used 2.5 times its fair allocation, and would be liable to pay $7.7tn for its excessive emissions by 2050. The US has used more than four times its fair share to become the richest country in the world, and would be responsible for $80tn in reparations under this scheme.

Piss off. Always wanting to take Other People’s money and spread it around, never wanting to give up their own 1st World carbon footprints, especially as this tends to be pushed by Elites with massive footprints. And how much in reparations will these industrialized countries receive for the technology they created improving the quality of life world-wide? Should be a lot more than $170 trillion.

White Women Use Their “Privilege” To Advocate For Banning All Guns In Colorado

Obviously, CNN is not going to tell you that at least 99.9% of these white women invited by black women (this is all getting rather racisty, eh?) vote Democrat

Hundreds of White women gather at Colorado Capitol after plea from women of color to use their ‘privilege’ to demand action on gun violence

Hundreds of White women gathered at the Colorado Capitol Monday morning, with more expected to show up throughout the day, to use their “privilege” in a silent sit-in to demand Gov. Jared Polis ban guns and create a gun buyback program.

The sit-in also comes amid a national debate over gun control and nearly two months after Polis signed into law four gun control bills, including one to expand the state’s red flag law.

Here4TheKids, a movement created after a mass shooting in Nashville in March left six people dead, including three children, calls for primarily White women to peacefully sit-in until Polis, a Democrat, signs an executive order banning guns. It was founded by two women of color, Saira Rao, who is South Asian American, and Tina Strawn, who is Black. Both are mothers.

Strawn told CNN the movement calls for White women to be at the forefront of the sit-in because, “we know what happens when we show up with demands.”

Whoa, whoa, wait a minute: getting beyond the whole race thing (can you imagine if white women pleaded for black women to discipline their children with missing fathers who are way more prone to use a gun for a crime? Statistics and facts do not lie), I thought they only wanted “common sense gun control”? No? They’re really saying the quiet part outloud, that they really do want to ban all private ownership of firearms.

Which would leave guns only in the hands of the government and criminals.

Watkins, who showed up at the Colorado Capitol early Monday morning and plans to stay until late in the evening, told CNN her initial response to the call to action for mainly White women to participate was, “What? Just White women? That sounds just exclusive,” but she understood what the founders meant.

“White women, statistically, have been the least likely to be arrested, assaulted by police officers and so we just said, ‘OK.’ If marginalized communities have been just traumatized over and over and over again I guess we just come together,” Watkins told CNN as cars drove by and honked in support of the protest. “We are the biggest voting block in this country. We do have power, we just forget that and we have been conditioned to forget that.”

They’re also less likely to give the cops attitudes, scuffle with cops, and pull out illegal guns than young black men.

The executive order Here4TheKids has proposed for Polis to sign calls for the governor to “ban the use, loading, possession or carrying of all firearms in Colorado, including but not limited to firearms for personal protection, hunting, law enforcement or any otherwise lawful purpose” and create a statewide gun buyback program.

Oh, wow, I was off a bit, because they don’t just want you disarmed, but, law enforcement. How about that!

Of course, there’s just this wee problem involving the Colorado Bill Of Rights

Section 13. Right to bear arms. The right of no person to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person and property, or in aid of the civil power when thereto legally summoned, shall be called in question; but nothing herein contained shall be construed to justify the practice of carrying concealed weapons.

They can stop concealed carry, but, they’d have to repeal their 13th, but, the US 2nd applies to all states.

Huh: Green Developers Need More Subsidies To Survive Due To Inflation

Renewable developers, pinched by inflation, to ask for increased subsidies

Developers of new renewable energy projects in New York are poised to request bigger payouts for already-contracted projects the state is counting on to hit its climate targets.

A formal petition to the state’s utility regulator, the Public Service Commission, is expected in the coming days from the Alliance for Clean Energy New York, which represents the industry, two officials familiar with the plan told POLITICO and were granted anonymity to discuss the case.

The request is expected to cite recent inflation and other challenges for projects that have already received contracts from NYSERDA and ask for an “inflation adjustment” — increased payments — for onshore renewables.

The ask from the developers throws into question the state’s pipeline of renewable energy projects, which state officials have pointed to as evidence that New York is on track to reach 70 percent renewable energy by 2030.

Getting beyond the notion that renewables almost always seem to need vast amounts of money to operate and build, they signed contracts. Did those contracts stipulate increases in payouts? Or, did they say “we’ll do the job for $X”? If the latter, well, suck it up, you should have considered the cost of a long term project.

Renewable developers say they are facing rising costs for the materials and services they rely on and are getting squeezed by higher interest rates as they go to finance projects.

You mean like everyone? Except, these “green” companies have access to state funds.

Offshore wind projects in the Northeast have also been facing inflationary pressures and pushing for revised contracts with bigger payouts. Tory Mazzola, a spokesperson for Orsted, which has a contract with NYSERDA for a 924 MW offshore wind project off Long Island, said discussions about macroeconomic factors continue.

Government should say no. The costs of renewables always look great on paper.

Net zero ‘grocery tax’ will push shopping bills up by £4bn, Tories warned

Green levies due to be imposed from next year will increase food prices within months, pushing up total shopping bills by up to £4 billion a year, retailers have warned, as senior Tories urged Rishi Sunak to drop the “nonsensical” plans.

In an open letter to The Telegraph, the British Retail Consortium suggests that a scheme to charge retailers and manufacturers for the cost of councils recycling their packaging will increase the cost of household goods when it is rolled out from April next year.

The levy was devised by Michael Gove during his time as environment secretary and billed as helping the UK to reduce waste and meet its net zero target, alongside a separate scheme to introduce a returnable deposit system for the purchase of drinks bottles and cans.

Taken together, the schemes could increase household shopping bills by up to £140 per year, based on the consortium’s estimate of an overall £4 billion cost.

The rich folks, like Sunak, do not care. It won’t hurt their own lives. It’s a blip. For the working and middle classes, so many who are living paycheck to paycheck post-COVID, it will hurt. It’s only about $173, but, consumers are already paying way more.

Also, remember when the Warmists were telling us that doing all this stuff would save us money?

Gavin Newsome, Sacramento Mayor Freak Over Handful Of Illegals Flown In

It’s so strange, as we were told that California is oh so welcoming of illegals. Gavin Newsome declared San Francisco was a sanctuary city while he was mayor. Sacramento, the capital of California, declared themselves a sanctuary city all the way back in 1985

They don’t seem very welcoming

California authorities say migrants flown to Sacramento have links to Florida

More than a dozen migrants were flown to Sacramento and dropped off in front of a Catholic church on Friday, sparking speculation from California officials that the flight was arranged by Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration.

DeSantis created a national furor last September when his administration paid to fly nearly 50 migrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, an act that he frequently mentions during public appearances and speeches, including while campaigning for president.

But so far his administration had not commenced a second round of flights — even after state lawmakers expanded the program in February in response to a lawsuit that challenged whether the governor had the authority to ship people from Texas to Massachusetts. There is also an ongoing lawsuit in Massachusetts federal court that sought to block any more flights by Florida.

Funny how Democrats get so upset when illegals are dropped off in their states and cities, eh?

Bonta suggested that the DeSantis administration may be linked to the operation because he said the migrants appeared to have paperwork connected to Florida, though he did not provide details on the documentation. The migrants flown last fall by the DeSantis administration to Martha’s Vineyard were given pamphlets detailing the benefits available to them in Massachusetts.

If Florida flew them, he’d be happy to let Gavin know. What does it matter? It sure doesn’t look like Gavin is welcoming of illegals. DeSantis or Texas governor Greg Abbott should drop some off in front of the California governor’s mansion.

Eddie Carmona, campaign director at PICO California, a faith-based community organizing group that has been assisting the migrants, told The Associated Press that the migrants had already been given court dates for their asylum cases when a person representing a private contactor approached them outside a migrant center in El Paso, Texas. Carmona told the AP that “they were lied to and intentionally deceived.”

If he’s correct, then they came from Texas. Perhaps Gavin should be speaking to Joe Biden about his essentially inviting illegals to show up at the border. And all his Democratic Party Comrades. And look in the mirror and ask himself.

Unhinged Climate Group Slashing Tires Reported To Be In 18 Countries

First, this is a great way to get shot. Second, wouldn’t this be considered an international crime syndicate per U.S. federal law?

Radical climate group slashing SUV tires says they’re now active in 18 countries including US

A far-left international group that encourages groups of people to deflate tires on parked sports utility vehicles (SUV) in an effort to combat global warming has expanded its operations to 18 countries.

The group, named the Tyre Extinguishers and based in the U.K., has claimed credit for tire-deflating operations in American cities including New York City, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco, and cities in England, Canada, France, Spain, Germany and Italy among others. And most recently, on Thursday, members affiliated with the Tyre Extinguishers conducted an action in Lisbon, Portugal.

“Reports coming in of very angry #CarShaggers who are upset they can’t drive their massive tanks around Lisbon. Oh no!” the group said. “Welcome to the fun, Portugal! Now that we’ve had our first action in Lisbon, where’s next?”

On the group’s website, it provides instructions for quickly deflating tires on parked cars and a template for pamphlets that activists can use during operations. After deflating an SUV’s tires, individuals affiliated with the group generally leave the document, with a headline stating “ATTENTION – your gas guzzler kills,” on the vehicle’s windshield explaining to its owner why the action was taken.

“You’ll be angry, but don’t take it personally. It’s not you, it’s your car,” the pamphlet says. “We did this because driving around in urban areas in your massive vehicle has huge consequences for others.”

Well, don’t take it personally when someone pulls a gun, and, if you’re lucky, all that happens is they hold you till you get arrested. If you’re not lucky? Well, don’t take it personally. Or if someone beats your ass.

Seriously, at this point this group is basically violating RICO. It is a multi-state and multi-national organized crime organization. And many states have their own RICO standards. You can start with extortion. Criminal street gangs. Conspiracy. Malicious mischief. Maybe even terrorism, as they are pushing for political outcomes.

Nearly 10% Identify As LGBTwhatever Or Something

Nearly 10% Percent of Adults Around the World Identify as LGBTQ: Survey

A global survey conducted by Ispos found that the number of adults who identify as LGBTQ+ is now 9 percent.

From February 7 to March 13, Ipsos surveyed 22, 514 adults across 30 countries, including Portugal, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Brazil. Brazil had the highest percentage of LGBTQ+ adults at around 15 percent, while Peru and Japan had the lowest at 4 percent.

Of the adults surveyed, an average of 3 percent identified themselves as gay or lesbian, 4 percent as bisexual, 1 percent as asexual, and 1 percent as pansexual or omnisexual. Gen Z respondents were two times more likely to identify as LGBTQ+ than Millenials, and four times more likely when compared with Gen Xers and Boomers.

The United States matches the world average with 9 percent of the population identifying as LGBTQ+. This represents a one percent drop since 2021, according to the survey.

Now, I really do not care if people are gay or lesbian or into both. You be you. As long as it doesn’t negatively affect my life, no skin off my nose. I do care when you try and force this belief on me, and on kids. No one should be forcing adult sexuality on kids, be it straight or not.

When it comes to gender identity, 1 percent of the surveyed adults described themselves as transgender. Another 1 percent identified as nonbinary, genderfluid, or gender non-conforming, and 1 percent identified as other than male or female. In this area, too, Gen Zers were more likely to identify as one of these categories than older adults.

So, three percent have serious mental illness and need competent mental health therapy. And Gen Z has been brainwashed, indoctrinated into these beliefs by adults who are, well, let’s just refer to them as assholes. Thing is, in this day and age being LGB won’t ruin their lives (unless you want to have unprotected gay sex and get HIV/AIDS). Remember a bit ago when all those teen girls were claiming to be bi-curious? How many did it as a fad? How many acted on it? How many became lesbian? None of their lives were really harmed. Kids taking drugs and cutting off their genitals? Yeah, that’s life damaging.

Off course, 8 billion people in the world yet roughly 22k were interviewed meaning the sample size was 0.00000275%. Meanwhile, it’s getting rather cultist…though at least Rolling Stone seems to understand what a woman is

13 Lesbian and Queer Women-Owned Brands to Support During Pride (and All Year Long)

Real talk: you know you are going to get that crystal, some rainbow gear for the Pride parade, those sunglasses for your upcoming trip to Bali, something to wear to your cousin’s wedding, and a new bag of coffee beans because returning to that commute and the office at 9 a.m. has been brutal — and that’s ok. You buy stuff. We all do. We’re Americans. It’s basically written into the Constitution at this point.

But they call it buying power for a reason. What you buy and where you shop matters, especially in this day and age where “pinkwashing” is common practice, with big-name brands and mainstream retailers commandeering Pride Month to release out-and-proud and “love is love” lines just to cash in as they do with just about every holiday or celebration. Worst of all, many of those same companies fund politicians who threaten to or take away LGBTQ+ and trans rights at every turn.

So, yeah, they’re pushing those brands. Not sure about you, I neither look to see or care about the sexuality of who runs the products I buy. These people are getting as cultist as Scientology, Heaven’s Gate, and People’s Temple.
