Media Seem Pretty Bummed Over Lack Of Large Scale Protests Supporting Trump

I guess the Credentialed Media is expecting Republicans to do the same thing as Democratic Party voters when they were being “mostly peaceful” protesters, but, that’s not what we do

Trump’s indictment has yet not sparked plans for large-scale protests, but experts urge caution and vigilance in days ahead

Groups that monitor far-right and extremist channels online say they haven’t seen immediate signs of organizing for large-scale protests or credible threats of violence in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s indictment on charges related to his alleged role in a hush money payment to the porn star Stormy Daniels. They cautioned, however, that this could change, since Trump is expected to be arrested and arraigned before a judge in New York next week.

“While we are not seeing significant organizing yet in response to the indictment, bigoted and violent rhetoric from Trump supporters and Trump himself is abundant,” said Lindsay Schubiner, director of programs at Western States Center, a Portland, Ore.-based civil rights organization. “This could easily lead to mobilizations and violence in the coming days and weeks.”

Relying on a far, far left organization that barely had a bad word for all the unhinged and violent protesters in Portland? Great.

Ahead of the indictment, on March 18, Trump wrote on his Truth Social network that he was going to be arrested three days later and called for his supporters to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”

Following the announcement on Thursday evening that a Manhattan grand jury had voted to hand up an indictment — making Trump the first former president in history to be charged with a crime — prominent conservative figures and allies of his expressed outrage and echoed his calls for protest.

Yeah, some like Marjorie Taylor Green and Lindsay Graham did, but, we really do not have time for protesting at the moment. Perhaps when the far left, Trump hating jury is seated.

Both ISD and Western States also warned that Trump and other top Republicans could still potentially inspire violence with their use of antidemocratic language framing the indictment as a politicized “witch hunt” and a “weaponization” of the justice system, or their bigoted attacks on Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

How dare American Citizens engage in their 1st Amendment Rights and call it the truth, which is that this is a witch hunt and partisan weaponization of the judicial system. Bragg ran on indicting Trump, and then went looking for reasons. It’s cute how they are now framing those words as Cancelled.

Trump Case May Not Go to Trial Until After 2024 Election, Experts Say

The historic indictment of former President Donald Trump has thrust the legal system into murky waters, raising the prospect of a leading presidential candidate campaigning around the country while also facing trial for criminal charges.

But legal experts caution that it could take years for Trump’s criminal case to work its way through the court system, and the potential for a litany of hard-hitting motions and delay tactics may well push the trial until after the 2024 presidential election.

“I cannot imagine that Trump would be convicted, and sent to jail, before the 2024 election season is over,” says Richard Hasen, an election law professor at UCLA.

There will be lots and lots of motions from Trump’s legal team. Change of venue, since there’s no way he can get a fair trial in front of his peers in Manhattan. Petition to dismiss, as the charges are based on things that exceed the statute of limitation. And that the DOJ and other federal agencies declined to find them crimes. That Bragg was, in fact, on a witch hunt, a complete perversion of the legal justice system. And so much more. And it takes a long time for trials like this to happen. And if it happens, it will be using proven liars like Stormy Daniels and Michael Avenatti.

My boyfriend and I had been dating for six months when we had the biggest fight of our relationship over the carbon footprint of a kerosene lamp. We had finished dinner in the cozy cabin of his sailboat and were about to begin a game of gin rummy to determine who would do the dishes when Doug stood up and banged his head on the kerosene lantern that dangled from the ceiling. He cursed as the lantern swung back and forth, dribbling kerosene onto the table.

I teased him because he did this almost every night, and then I wiped up the spill with a greasy rag and told him about a book I had been reading that listed kerosene as one of the dirtiest fossil fuels.

“I guess we should probably get a different lantern,” I said. “Maybe LED.”

“I love this lamp,” he said, leaning over me with a match to relight the wick. The lamp glowed brightly for a moment and then dimmed, its warm, yellow light filling the cabin.

In a normal world, most people reading this piece by Alison Kaplan would be saying “run, boy, run, she’s crazy.” She spends the next 26 paragraphs yammering on about how this all blew up, even jumping ahead 6 months. Who does this? Oh, right, we’ve seen an immense amount of insanity on the Internet, both written and video.

Ukraine Victory Unlikely This Year, Milley Says

Ukraine is unlikely to expel all Russian forces from its territory this year, the top U.S. officer said Friday, giving a grim reality check to the expressed goal and hopeful ambitions of policymakers, diplomats, and defense leaders from Washington to Kyiv.

“I don’t think it’s likely to be done in the near term for this year,” Gen. Mark Milley said Friday in an interview with Defense One.

“Zelenskyy has publicly stated many times that the Ukrainian objective is to kick every Russian out of Russian occupied Ukraine. And that is a significant military task. Very, very difficult military task. You’re looking at a couple hundred thousand Russians who are still in Russian-occupied Ukraine. I’m not saying it can’t be done. I’m just saying it’s a very difficult task,” the Joint Chiefs chairman said. “But that is their objective. They certainly have a right to that, that is their country. And they are on the moral high ground here.”

In November, Milley said in a press conference that the probability Ukraine was going to retake Crimea and expel all Russian forces “anytime soon is not high.” His comment stirred speculation that the United States was pressuring Zelenskyy toward negotiating territorial concessions with Russia.

And the longer this goes on with the U.S. and EU providing support the greater the chance of direct conflict with Russia. This is day 403 of the conflict in Ukraine, with little movement and pretty much no chance of Ukraine kicking Russia out.

Munitions, anti-tank rockets in next $2.6 bln US pledge for Ukraine -sources

A new $2.6 billion U.S. military aid package that could include air surveillance radars, anti-tank rockets and fuel trucks for Ukraine’s fight against Russia is expected to be announced as soon as Monday, three U.S. officials said on Friday.

A half a dozen types of munitions, including tank munitions, are also expected to be on the list of equipment that could be finalized over this weekend, the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity said, adding that the dollar amount and specific equipment in the package could change.

Also slated for inclusion were precision aerial munitions, bridging equipment Ukraine would use to assault Russian positions, recovery vehicles to help disabled heavy equipment like tanks and additional rounds for NASAMS air defenses that the U.S. and allies have given to Kyiv.

New Rules Limit Media’s Ability to Cover Ukraine War

Regulations from Ukraine covering media access to the front lines of the war have drawn criticism from reporters and media advocates who say the rules are not proportionate with the dangers for war correspondents.

Two of Ukraine’s operational commands, in the country’s east and south, released new rules in March governing how media can operate in areas under their control.

The rules bar journalists from working in “red zones” deemed the most dangerous and require a military press officer’s escort to work in less dangerous “yellow zones.”

Journalists can work freely in “green zones.” And commanders will have discretion to allow reporters access to red zones in certain circumstances, according to local media.

Not particularly surprising, since Zelensky is pretty much an authoritarian.

Climate Cult Excited For Nations To Be Sued

Can Nations Be Sued for Weak Climate Action? We’ll Soon Get an Answer.

A tiny Pacific island nation has pulled off the kind of diplomatic win that can elude global superpowers.

On Wednesday, Vanuatu, population 300,000, rallied countries to ask the world’s highest court to weigh in on a high-stakes question: Can countries be sued under international law for failing to slow down climate change?

The measure passed by consensus, meaning none of the 193 member states requested a vote. The General Assembly Hall erupted in applause.

That it was adopted by consensus reflects widespread frustration over the fact that the greenhouse gas emissions warming the planet and wreaking havoc on the poorest nations are not being reduced quickly enough.

The United Nations secretary general, António Guterres, said the move “would assist the General Assembly, the U.N. and member states to take the bolder and stronger climate action that our world so desperately needs.”

Will Vanuata be sued for all the airports on the island? Where the seas are barely rising?

In essence, with this resolution, the world’s nations are asking the International Court of Justice, based in The Hague, to issue an opinion on whether governments have “legal obligations” to protect people from climate hazards and, more crucially, whether failure to meet those obligations could bring “legal consequences.”

Well, good luck forcing nations to comply, especially when the majority of the Elites pushing this refuse to practice what they preach.

Body Blow To Activists: Whopping 82% Of Berlin’s Voters Refused To Support 2030 Climate Neutrality

Last Sunday’s “Berlin Climate Neutrality By 2030” referendum failed resoundingly despite the more than a million euros spent in a massive run-up campaign that included plastering the city with posters, concerts by famous performers, huge support and propaganda by the media and hefty donations coming from left wing activists from the east and west coasts of USA.

Once the dust of the referendum had settled, it emerged that the “yes” side fell way short of the quorum 608,000 votes needed to pass the measure. Only 442,210 cast a vote in favor, which represents only 18% of Berlin’s eligible voters. The activists expected a far greater turnout. 82% refused to lend any support.

Berlin’s rejection of the climate neutrality by 2030 mandate is a massive body blow to the the radical Fridays for Future and Last Generation movement in Germany, and it will take months for the radicals to recover, it ever, from this setback.

The cultists will ignore the results, and keep pushing, and the Elites will back them, regardless of what the citizens say.

As I replied to this nut (who then blocked me), the baseline being used was during a slight cooling period, except for 1978-1980, which caused the media to go into hysterics about a coming ice age.

I had planned on ignoring the supposed Trump indictment, because the charges have not been formally released, it’s all based on leaks (shouldn’t the proceedings of a grand jury be secret?), and we all knew that shady Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg would get his charges. As the saying goes, a grand jury can indict a ham sandwich. Once indicted, Bragg actually has to make the case. This piece by Time perfectly encapsulates what’s wrong with this whole thing

Trump Is About to Stress Test the Credibility of Our Judicial System

For the weeks leading up to Donald Trump’s indictment, the former President was constantly throwing misdirection into the ether. He predicted an indictment and arrest in the coming hours, even as his advisers and lawyers conceded they had no evidence that was in the offing. He raised cash on the threat of the prospect of criminal prosecution and plotted with his team about a potential perp walk. Amid it all, the ex-President seemed to miss the severity of history’s judgment should he become the first of his cohort to face a criminal indictment.

Well, late Thursday, that anticipated outcome finally came into relief. The Manhattan District Attorney’s office confirmed that a grand jury had made history, and that the process of negotiating a surrender and booking for the former White House resident had already begun. In the coming days, as the indictment is unsealed and Trump poses for his mugshot, the misdirection is unlikely to abate. And in that comes a distinct risk, one not confined to the American judicial system, the norms of the Presidency itself, or the basics of civility in a pluralistic political world.

With every single utterance, filing, and grievance, Trump and those involved in this case—and potentially others—stand to rewrite the rules of criminal accountability in a high-charged political environment.

First off, no matter what the Democrats think, people are innocent till proven guilty in a court of law. They have protections. Bragg must prove his case. Defendants can do whatever to protect themselves. Those cheering this targeted political attack via prosecution should remember that they could be next.

As the first criminal charges against an ex-President move forward, the combination of head fakes and the legitimate threat to judicial norms should not be taken lightly.

The stratagem has worked plenty for Trump to this point, and it still may, to be clear. At the same time, these proceedings might finally shake the American public of its reflex to follow Trump’s eyeline when it locks on to something blurry in the distance. After all, it seems an indictment is about to be in plain view, even if a lot of Americans aren’t yet ready to believe their eyes. In fact, Trump and his allies are going to work overtime to ensure that his strongest supporters never get there, even if it further diminishes the credibility of the nation’s courts.

Political norms would preclude a soft on crime prosecutor, who lets felons off light if not off, targeting a specific US citizen, even if a former president, because of politics. It’s interesting that so many of the articles on this focus on Trump and getting Trump, rather than the constitutional protections, both in the federal Bill of Rights and the NY Constitution and how Bragg has broken them. Cheering media and Democrats should remember that they opened this box, and it can immediately turn around and bite them right in the ass.

LOL: UN’s Climate Crisis (scam) Influence Says We Need To Treat It Like COVID Emergency

Sophia Kianni is a hoot. She’s basically a young, attractive “influencer” for the UN climate cult division, and perfect in that she’s a typical climahypocrite. She takes a lot of fossil fueled travel, always seems to have a new outfit (Warmists rage about “fast fashion” being bad for climate and the environment, and, for the latter, they’re aren’t wrong), and lives the high life. Oh, and isn’t an actual climate scientist. And doesn’t look very serious, but, is great at posting what the climate cultists at the UN tell her to. Are we really supposed to listen to a 21 year old?

Youth UN adviser says climate change needs to be treated like COVID-19: ‘An emergency’

A youth United Nations (UN) climate adviser is calling for world leaders to treat global warming with the same mandates used to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sophia Kianni, who is the UN’s youngest adviser, said in a tweet earlier this week that more than 80% of the global population is being “impacted” by climate change and that it warranted an emergency response.

“Remember when we treated COVID-19 like an emergency?” Kianni tweeted Monday evening. “Well it’s time to do the same for climate change, over 80% of the world’s population is being impacted from Climate Change!”

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, governments implemented wide-reaching mandates and economic shutdowns, which led to massive job losses and supply chain problems, in an effort to prevent further spread of the disease. Such shutdowns were heavily criticized for their negative impacts on the global economy and education outcomes.

However, actions taken to defeat the pandemic — such as limiting travel and forcing individuals to stay at home — ultimately curbed carbon emissions and energy consumption, a priority activists have pushed. In 2020, the U.S. emitted 4.6 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide, a staggering 11% year-over-year decline and the lowest level since 1983, according to federal data.

I said all the way back in 2020, many many times, that the climate cult wants the same things. Because they said so. They want government to have that power to restrict your life, to control it. Does Sophia realize that it limit her own life? Or, does she think she’d be exempt?

I suspect that most of the “science” stuff posted to her Twitter, Instagram, and other accounts comes from some UN media cultist.

Gun Grabber Recommends Doing What New Zealand Did

During the 2016 election cycle we heard about the Australian solution, where the nation banned most private ownership of firearms. Of course, somewhere around 70% of citizens did not turn in their guns to this day, and, since there had been no registration beforehand, the government can’t do a damned thing about it

No more ‘thoughts and prayers’ — pass the gun laws America needs

I woke up early Tuesday morning and, as I always do, turned on “Morning Joe,” where the first two hours of the show was devoted solely to the shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville on Monday, March 27. Three adults and three children were gunned down by an individual wielding two AR-style guns and a pistol.

As usual, there were obligatory messages from senators and Congress members — including Republicans — on how tragic it was, and how they were holding the families of those killed in their “thoughts and prayers.” Hearing this, I wanted to scream. They should pass a law that no elected official can use those words about a mass shooting, because it is the height of hypocrisy for any politician to offer “thoughts and prayers” to victims’ families when they know they will not support any changes to stop gun violence.

No real mention of the mental illness from the Nashville shooter, or other wackjob shooters.

This has to end. Don’t tell me that gun laws can’t be changed, when New Zealand had a mass shooting in 2019 and the New Zealand government set out to pass strict gun-control legislation — and did so within six months. New Zealand has not had another mass shooting since. Gun violence there is rare.

We can do this. We must do this. It will take courage on the part of our members of Congress but, truth be told, it shouldn’t require much fortitude because many polls show Americans strongly favor commonsense gun safety laws. If it were up to me, we would pass gun safety laws as strict and comprehensive as those in New Zealand. Weapons of war, such as AR-style firearms and multiple-shot magazines, should be barred forever in America.

New Zealand made private ownership of most semi-automatics illegal. They have a gun registry. They track everything. And the government went full authoritarian the following year over COVID.

But I’m going to make it easy for Congress: Break down the changes we need into smaller increments and pass them, one after another, every six months. Start with what should be the easiest and pledge that by Memorial Day, Congress will pass legislation making multiple-capacity magazines — many of which contain 30, 50 or 100 bullets — illegal in this country. We did it in the 1994 law, making it illegal to possess a magazine with more than 10 bullets.

I’m sure criminals will follow this. Now, listen, there are things we could do. I fully support revamping the background check system to weed out the wackjobs who shouldn’t have a firearm. I have no problem with a 7-14 waiting period, where people could be checked, like with the Nashville trans nutter. I even support requiring some training for first time buyers. I got training voluntarily. A proper red flag system which protects Constitutional Rights and heavily penalizes those filing false reports. And others.

Here’s the problem: Australia. New Zealand. Great Britain. This is the end game. If you give the gun grabbers a little bit they want more and more, because ending most private ownership of firearms Is The Goal. The end game. The powers that be do not care if you, the peasant, are left at the mercy of the criminals who would still be armed

Notice during Jamaal Bowman’s unhinged rant at Thomas Massie that there’s an armed officer in the background. He doesn’t want you to have protection.

Surprise: AstraZeneca COVID Vax Can Cause Heart Problems For Young Women

AstraZeneca’s Covid Vaccine May Have Posed a Higher Heart Risk for Young Women, Study Shows

Young women who received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine made by AstraZeneca might have been more likely to die of a heart problem in the 12 weeks after their vaccination, according to an analysis of immunization and death records in Britain released on Monday.

Those findings carry a big caveat: Britain withdrew AstraZeneca’s vaccine use for young people under 30 in April 2021, citing the risk of rare but dangerous blood clots. By that time, the young women who were immunized would have been mainly health care workers or those who were medically vulnerable, because people at high risk of Covid from their age, health or employment were vaccinated first. So the results of the study may not apply to the general population.

“It could be that the people who are clinically extremely vulnerable are more susceptible to side effects from vaccination,” said Vahé Nafilyan, a senior statistician for Britain’s Office for National Statistics and one of the lead researchers on the study. The results were published on Monday in the journal Nature Communications.

The AstraZeneca vaccine was never authorized for use in the United States. But more than 3 billion doses of the vaccine had been delivered worldwide as of November 2022. It is cleared for use in more than 170 countries, although in recent months, some have relied only on bivalent mRNA vaccines for the latest round of booster shots because of Omicron’s dominance.

Yet another problem with the vaccines. I can certainly understand why they were rushed, as many things were rushed in 2020, since they just didn’t know. But, since they were experimental, the powers that be should have been doing more research and study before allowing any sort of mandates, any calls for vaccine passports (which were implemented), requirements to be vaccinated to go places, and so forth.

The researchers did not find a significantly elevated risk of death in any other subgroup or with the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine, which was also widely used in Britain. And the study did not prove that the vaccines caused the deaths.

The benefits of Covid vaccines still vastly outweigh the risks, and the incidence of harmful events after vaccination remains very low, the researchers and other experts emphasized.

In fairness, you sit there and watch commercials for all sorts of medications on TV and the radio/streaming, and half the time it’s about the side effects, right? But, no one was forcing you to take those.
