It Starts: UK Spending Taxpayer Money For Climate Resiliencing Your Christmas Dinner

Maybe there are others, but, this is the first climate scam involving Christmas article I’ve seen this year

Taxpayer money invested in boosting climate resilience of Christmas dinner

Taxpayers’ money alongside other forms of finance has been invested in projects that can help to safeguard Christmas dinner staples from the impacts of climate change and other growing challenges, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has said.

The science funding body has been supporting innovators on work that will help the festive meal stay on British tables for future generations – as well as making it healthier and tastier.

This includes the development of alternative proteins, bioengineered super spuds, innovations to reduce antibiotic needs in farmed animals, and food that requires lower energy to cook.

The projects have been supported through bodies like the Technology Missions Fund, Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and Innovate UK (IUK).

Seriously, it looks like the UK is more involved in mucking around with citizen lives than China at this point. If the cultists want to do something in their own lives, have it. Stop trying to force it on Everyone Else.

Alternative proteins will be a delicious and nutritious replacement or addition to turkey as the main course’s centrepiece, UKRI said, as it highlighted scientific players making advances in this space.

Oh, honey child, bless your heart. And piss off. Mind your business.

Democrats Say Mass Deportation Could Cause Massive Recession Or Something

Democrats will try anything to keep the illegals in the U.S., even if they are gang members, rapists, and murderers

Economic fallout from Trump mass deportations could eclipse Great Recession: Report

President-elect Trump’s mass deportation proposals threaten to gut the U.S. economy, shrinking growth and the labor force while juicing inflation, according to a report released Thursday by Democrats in the Congressional Joint Economic Committee (JEC).

Sourcing data from the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the report found that deporting 8.3 million immigrants in the country illegally would reduce GDP by 7.4 percent and reduce employment by 7 percent by 2028, likely resulting in zero overall growth throughout Trump’s second term.

Trump has proposed deporting all such immigrants in the United States — currently an estimated 11 million — and millions more currently protected by humanitarian programs such as Temporary Protected Status, who could lack legal status if those programs were cut.

One thing The Hill forgot to note as the ran with the Democratic Party talking point is that the U.S. Constitution charges the Legislative Branch in protecting the nation from foreign invasion, and that there are numerous laws against illegal immigration. Also, there is no way that number is 11 million: we’ve been hearing that number for decades, despite millions and millions coming in yearly under Obama and Biden.

What do Democrats have against booting out illegals who are criminals? Who shouldn’t be in the nation? Why do Democrats ignore the crime?

Why? Because they want to make them all citizens who will vote Democrat.

Tweets Totally Misrepresent The Biden Admin’s Failure With EV Chargers

Seriously, why is the AFP even bothering? Biden is gone in just over a month

Posts misrepresent progress of EV charging network under Biden

Electric vehicleA 2021 federal infrastructure bill allocated funds to build a network of electric vehicle charging points across the United States by 2030. But social media claims that the Biden administration spent $7.5 billion for just eight stations are false; after a slow rollout, 37 stations across 13 states are currently in operation, with hundreds more in the works from funding that has been appropriated but not yet spent.

“Pete Buttigieg will leave his post as Transportation Secretary having spent $7.5 BILLION to build 8 EV charging stations. His legacy will be squandering billions on something nobody wants, while millions struggle to afford the things they need,” a November 24 post on X says.

AFP found additional post on XInstagram and Facebook claiming only seven or eight charging stations resulted from the billions in funding nationwide.

OK, so, there are now a total of 37 charging stations from a law signed in November 2021. Really? Three years later and it is just 37? The Empire State Building was put up in 410 days. Seriously, as of March 2024 there were only 7 as pointed out by the Federal Highway Administration in the ultra-Conservative Washington Post.

According to the FHWA’s latest data, received by email on December 9, projects are underway for 24,800 federally funded chargers, of which 226 were operational at 37 stations across 13 states.

Most of the network’s stations are to be built in the second half of the decade, Buttigieg said on November 25, in response to critics online (archived here).

Really? Wasn’t it like super-important at the time of passage to get those chargers in place to help accelerate the switchover to EVs? And now they are going to be in the 2nd half of the decade?

(US DOT) “We are embarking on a transformative path to modernize the way we get to around in this country, making sure all Americans have the option to choose electric vehicles and spend less at the pump while making our air healthier,” said Secretary Granholm. “Our two agencies will work together to deliver on President Biden’s historic investments in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, starting today with a joint project to build hundreds of thousands of electric vehicle charging stations, to tackle the climate crisis and create manufacturing and construction jobs at the same time.”

“Transportation is responsible for the most greenhouse gas emissions of any sector in our economy – so it can and must be a big part of the solution to the climate crisis,” said Secretary Buttigieg. “With this announcement by DOT and DOE, we are taking a big step forward on climate by helping make the benefits of EVs more accessible for all Americans.”

I guess their excitement in 2021 wasn’t to actually get them done. Which will be complete first, the chargers or California’s highspeed train?

Weird: ABC News Settles Defamation Suit Filed By Trump

It’s almost like ABC doesn’t want their shady secrets coming out

ABC News, Stephanopoulos Settle Defamation Lawsuit with Trump, Pay $15 Million, Apologize

ABC News and anchor George Stephanopoulos agreed to settle a defamation lawsuit that President-elect Donald Trump had filed and will pay Trump $15 million, attorneys fees, and issue a public apology.

The Hill reported that the news outlet and Stephanopoulos agreed to issue a “public apology” and to provide $15 million that would go towards Trump’s “future presidential library.”

The outlet noted that “under the settlement agreement,” along with “$15 million in escrow” to go towards Trump’s future library, ABC News “agreed to pay $1 million in attorney’s fees and add an editors’ note to the bottom of the relevant article.”

ABC must also issue a statement of regret for their slander of the incoming president, which occurred during the election cycle.

As Breitbart News’s Wendell Husebo previously reported, in March, Trump filed a defamation lawsuit against ABC News and Stephanopoulos. Trump claimed that his “reputation was besmirched” by Stephanopoulos claiming during an interview with Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) that two juries had found Trump “liable for rape” in the case against E. Jean Carroll.

Settling the suit allowed Stephanopoulos to avoid a 4 hour deposition along with releasing lots and lots of emails, which would expose just how bad ABC News is. That they are no longer a news outlet, but, an activist outlet and an arm of the Democratic Party, that they are not there to protect the People from government, per the entire reason for their inclusion in the 1st Amendment. Free Speech would have covered it.

CNN had to end their article with a bit of whining

Trump has a history of filing lawsuits against the news media. In late October, he filed a lawsuit against CBS, demanding $10 billion in damages over the network’s “60 Minutes” interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. His legal counsel claimed the interview with Harris and the associated programming were “partisan and unlawful acts of election and voter interference” intended to “mislead the public and attempt to tip the scales” of the presidential election in her favor.

If the media is going to lie, to go off the reservation, to think they are immune from being held accountable, think again.

Leftlist NJ.com Wonders If The Feds Are Gaslighting On Drones

It’s pretty wild when uber-Democrat NJ.com trots this out

N.J. drone sightings rejected by the feds. Are they gaslighting us?

Andy Kim peered up at the night sky, searching for the elusive answers even a United States senator can’t seem to find.

Were the flashing lights he spotted Thursday night from Round Valley Reservoir in Lebanon an airplane? A hobbyist flying a drone? Or something far more mysterious — maybe even nefarious — sent here, to his beloved home state, by a foreign adversary?

On Friday morning, Kim earnestly joined the increasingly outraged and sometimes hysterical New Jersey masses in sharing his own conclusion on social media. He believed he witnessed a drone, he announced on X, complete with accompanying videos.

“I believe that all of the signs shown in the videos point toward those being manned airplanes,” said Adam Kyle, a drone expert and pilot with a degree in unmanned aircraft systems from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Are some planes? Sure. But, we’ve all see the videos. Planes do not hover. Helicopters do not fly in those numbers. Helicopters are not going to be hovering over military bases and such.

This week, the federal government has managed to do the seemingly impossible: bring together Jersey Republicans and Democrats in agreement.

State Assemblyman Brian Bergen, R-Morris, says he witnessed a drone Thursday night from his back porch in Denville. The government’s response to what New Jerseyans can see with their own eyes is insulting and “absolutely absurd,” he said.

The lack of information provided by federal officials was “appalling,” added Republican Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia.

Assemblywoman Annette Quijano, D-Union, called the federal government’s “lack of answers” “simply unacceptable.”

“We need answers, we need accountability, and most importantly, we need solutions,” Quijano said in a statement.

And U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer, D-5th Dist., called for federal agencies to provide direct answers.

They know they are being provided with bullshit answers, that the Biden-Harris admin is gaslighting them.

The federal agencies reiterated there was no evidence the alleged drone sightings pose a national security or public safety threat. They also said there’s been no evidence that the aircraft were of foreign origin, and there were no reported or confirmed drone sightings in any restricted air space.

But, they offered no explanation as to who owns the drones. And, there are drones. Lots of them. How do they know there are no threats, since they will not identify them and refuse to engage them, even over sensitive properties. And, heck, when they are flying over people’s homes that is concerning. And, quite frankly, isn’t it against FAA regulations? If the drone weighs more that .55 pounds it must be registered. Same if it is for commercial use. You aren’t allowed to fly them and take phots/video over other people’s property. And, by FAA regulations, you cannot even fly over people or homes without their permission. You cannot fly within controlled airspace (like, say, a military base.) Cannot fly over 400 feet.

Whose are they? Who is running them? Does the Biden-Harris admin realize that the Trump admin is a little over a month from starting and they will get to the bottom of this?

Some Fake-Asylum Seekers Self Deporting Before Trump Takes Office

More should give it a try in self deporting

Some migrants choosing to self-deport ahead of Trump presidency

While cities across the U.S. brace for President-elect Donald Trump’s promised mass deportations, some immigrants are choosing to self-deport.

The U.S. has seen the largest immigration surge in American history, with an annual average of about 2.5 million people between 2021 and 2023.

Border officials tell NewsNation that migrants who are going through their asylum proceedings are, in some cases, cutting things short on their own and finding ports of entry that will allow them to leave ahead of Trump’s inauguration.

However, since many of those migrants are already in U.S. legal proceedings, they could face issues when they return to the U.S. later.

“They are probably not going to be able to get back in to reapply or to start the process over,” said immigration attorney Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch. “You kind of get one chance, and if you give up halfway through, you don’t get to come back and ask for asylum again. You’ll be put in a different type of proceeding, and you won’t have asylum available to you.”

Many of the migrants who have spoken with NewsNation’s Ali Bradley say they are concerned by the threat of being deported, but some are also convinced that Trump will only go after criminals and the people who have a final order of removal first.

They know they will not be granted asylum, because they do not qualify. Only about 10% qualify per the law, though, Democrats seem to let quite a few of them stay in the United States regardless. Any future hearings are immaterial, because the fake-asylum seekers would not be granted asylum. So, bye, Felecia! Take more with you.

Meanwhile, the EU has Stupid Groups supporting unfettered illegal immigration as well

EU nations agree a crackdown on migrant smugglers. Some fear it may target people trying to help

European Union countries agreed on Friday a draft law aimed at preventing and countering migrant smuggling, which critics say could be used to target people or charity groups that try to help migrants in trouble.

The aim of the new law is to broaden the definition of what migrant smuggling involves and to increase prison sentences and fines. The agreement between the 27 EU member countries forms their position for final negotiations on the law with the European Parliament.

“If we want to be serious about protecting our borders, we need to step up the fight against migrant smuggling,” said Hungarian Justice Minister Bence Tuzson, whose country holds the EU presidency. “Criminalizing this offence in a uniform manner across the EU would play a key role in this area.”

One would think the laws would already be tough

The draft contains a “humanitarian clause” which would “specify that certain assistance to irregular migrants, notably assistance to close family members or support to provide basic human needs, may not qualify as the criminal offence of migrant smuggling.”

However, member countries would not be legally bound to apply it.

The Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants (PICUM), which represents 160 organizations focused on migrants’ rights, is concerned that the non-binding nature of the clause could mean more legal action against migrants and people who help them.

The people are illegally present in EU nations: shouldn’t it be against the law to help them out in the first place, just like helping any criminal?

Climate (scam) Lawsuit At ICJ Wraps Up

Weirdly, none of the judges as the plaintiffs if they have given up their own use of fossil fuels, stopped eating meat, take the train and bus, ride bikes, and made their won lives carbon neutral

Landmark climate change legal hearing wraps up in The Hague

A landmark hearing into nation-states’ legal obligations over climate change wrapped up at the United Nations’ top court in The Hague on Friday. The outcome could have implications for the fight against climate change — and for the big polluters blamed for emitting most greenhouse gases.

The 15 judges at the International Court of Justice have heard evidence from 99 countries and dozens of organizations over the course of the two-week hearing.

They are trying to determine the legal obligations of states to tackle climate change and to repair the harm caused.

The judges’ advisory opinion is expected to be published next year.

Legal obligations? Perhaps nations shouldn’t be giving up their sovereignty on matters such as this to unelected judges, judges who can change nations on a whim, when they are supposed to be dealing with real issues.

“For young people, the demand for reparations is crucial for justice. We have inherited a planet in decline and face the grim prospect of passing on an even more degraded world to future generations,” said Vishal Prasad, campaign director for Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change, which lobbied for the case to be heard.

“Equally clear is the demand for immediate cessation. If greenhouse gas emissions are not stopped, we are not just risking our future, we are welcoming its demise,” he said.

OK, let’s start by no longer allowing airplanes and cargo ships to go to the Pacific Ocean island nations. Let’s restrict the kiddies from buying fast fashion and taking lots of selfies and videos and uploading them. This is starting to look like, shockingly, a shakedown cash grab.

Countering that argument were several big polluting nations, including China, India, Britain and the United States. They argued that only climate treaties, such as the 2015 Paris Agreement, confer any legal obligations on nation-states regarding climate change.

Except, Paris was set up in a way to avoid the Constitutional legal obligation of being a treaty, requiring approval of the US Senate. So, it has zero force of law.

The ICJ’s advisory opinion may simply reiterate existing climate deals such as the 2015 Paris Agreement, according to Renatus Otto Franz Derler, a climate law expert and editor-in-chief of the Cambridge International Law Journal.

“[Or] a second intermediate outcome would be that states have an obligation to fight climate change. The conduct that they’re doing, for example the petrostates, is in breach of general international law, so therefore state responsibility would apply,” Derler told VOA.

I’m betting they go with door number 2. Leftists love imposing their authority on Other People.
