New Zealand, Australia Have Their Own Anti-Mandate Protests

Australia has seen protests before, but, they were quickly squashed by over-zealous, violent policing. Looks like the Freedom Truckers movement is spreading. People are no longer cowed by government

New Zealand plays Barry Manilow to repel parliament protesters

Authorities in New Zealand have been playing Barry Manilow’s greatest hits in an attempt to dislodge protesters camped outside the parliament building.

Songs by the US singer are being played on a 15-minute loop, along with the Spanish dance tune, Macarena.

The demonstrators, who are angry at Covid-19 vaccine mandates, responded by playing songs such as Twisted Sister’s We’re Not Gonna Take It.

The protests began on Tuesday when a convoy of vehicles drove to parliament.

Inspired by large rallies against vaccine mandates in Canada, hundreds of protesters arrived in the capital, Wellington, to rally against Covid restrictions.

They adopted the name “Convoy for Freedom” and blocked streets in the city.

The Powers That Be do not like the servants daring to protest against government authority, hence, they’re trying to force them out. And, have arrested many for peaceably protesting.

Tactics used by the authorities to try and get rid of the protesters involved turning on the water sprinklers on the lawn where they were camped on Friday.

But protesters retaliated by digging trenches and building makeshift drainpipes to re-route the water, the Associated Press news agency reports.

New Zealanders might have been beaten down during the pandemic, because they rather had no choice. Many are no longer willing to take it.

Australian police urge protesters to leave capital

Australian police have given thousands of protesters until the end of Sunday to leave occupied areas of the country’s capital, as days-long rallies continue against COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

Several thousand protesters remained in place at Canberra’s major showgrounds, while fewer than 100 demonstrators were gathered near the federal parliament building, an Australian Capital Territory (ACT) police spokesperson told Reuters.

No protesters in Canberra had been arrested so far on Sunday after three were detained on Saturday.

“They must be out by today,” the police spokesperson said, declining to say what action authorities would take if protesters refused to comply with demands to leave.

So far, they aren’t leaving. How dare the peasants refuse to Comply with their masters!

Clinton Campaign Paid For Operation To Link Trump To Russia

Unsurprisingly, you won’t find this information at the NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, CBS News, NBC News, or ABC News, nor almost any non-Republican outlet

Clinton campaign paid to ‘infiltrate’ Trump Tower, White House servers to link Trump to Russia: Durham

First on Fox: Lawyers for the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to “infiltrate” servers belonging to Trump Tower, and later the White House, in order to establish an “inference” and “narrative” to bring to government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia, a filing from Special Counsel John Durham says.

Durham filed a motion on Feb. 11 focused on potential conflicts of interest related to the representation of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman, who has been charged with making a false statement to a federal agent. Sussman has pleaded not guilty.

The indictment against Sussman says he told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016, less than two months before the 2016 presidential election, that he was not doing work “for any client” when he requested and held a meeting in which he presented “purported data and ‘white papers’ that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel” between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.

But Durham’s filing on Feb. 11, in a section titled “Factual Background,” reveals that Sussman “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign.”

It gets really convoluted and detailed after that, how these various people and groups were paid by the Clinton campaign. Here’s how the NY Post puts it, in simplifying the Fox News report

Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign paid an internet company to “infiltrate” servers at Trump Tower and the White House in order to link Donald Trump to Russia, a bombshell new legal filing alleges.

The Friday filing from a Department of Justice prosecutor tasked with investigating the origins of the FBI’s Russian probe served to throw cold water on Democrats’ longstanding allegations of collusion.

Special Counsel John Durham filed a motion related to potential conflicts of interests in connection with the case of Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, who is charged with lying to the feds, according to Fox News.

This is rather big news, isn’t it? That the Clinton campaign was paying to manufacture those links between Trump, his campaign, and Russia. I mean, those who live in the real world new this was all campaign dirty tricks, some of the dirtiest of all time, yet, the media simply ran with it, never caring to investigate. Nor do they care now, as the only other outlet interested in this is the UK Daily Mail.

Brandon’s Super Excited To Buy 600K EVs For Federal Workers!

This is totally to help out with ‘climate change’!

When will Biden be switching his big limo and SUV motorcade out for EVs?

(CNBC) The administration has previously proposed an EV incentive package that would allocate additional money for consumers who bought electric vehicles built by unionized workers. The administration has also committed to replace its federal fleet of 600,000 cars and trucks to electric power by 2035.

“This announcement demonstrates that clean energy investments deliver for America,” Elizabeth Gore, senior vice president of political affairs at the Environmental Defense Fund, said in a statement.

Where is the power coming from to charge them? Who’s paying for these vehicles that are way more expensive than the existing fleet? What happens to the vehicles that still work? Aren’t you glad your taxes will pay for this, despite never having had a legislative vote on it? Under what authority is this occuring? Meanwhile, your cost of living is skyrocketing, and Biden’s taking fossil fueled trips to Camp David to live it up.

“Experts” Say Chance To End Freedom Truckers Peacefully Is “Slipping Away”

Who, exactly, is going to bring violence?

Opportunity to end convoy protest peacefully is slipping away, experts say

As the protest against vaccine mandates heads into its third weekend in Ottawa and spreads to border towns, observers say the window for ending it peacefully is closing.

On Friday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced a state of emergency as protest blockades continued to shut down parts of Ottawa’s downtown core and portions of Windsor’s Ambassador Bridge — a key cross-border supply route.

The move is largely administrative and gives Ford the power to bring in new orders to punish those who block and impede the movement of goods, people and services along critical infrastructure.

Jack Rozdilsky, an associate professor of disaster and emergency management at York University, said there are still ways to obtain a peaceful end to the crisis.

But “every day longer this goes on, it moves in a more dangerous direction where, essentially, it’ll reach the point where  the hand of authority is forced,” he said.

In other words, people who are protesting peacefully, as their Right per Canada’s Constitution, down in the Charter Of Rights And Freedoms. The experts are blaming the protesters if Government violence is used to end their peaceful protest. Hey, sorry about the honking, blocked streets, and bounce houses, you must be put down.

Trudeau also seems to be threatening them

(Breitbart) Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told Canadian trucker protesters, “you are breaking laws,” as the Freedom Convoy has created a blockade on the Ambassador Bridge, a key shipping route for U.S.-Canada trade.

Trudeau said the protesters are seeking to take the economy hostage. He made a distinction between the truckers and those who are fatigued with his onerous public health mandates, even though the protests started due to Trudeau’s mandates.

“I want to make something very clear,” Trudeau told reporters on Friday. “The illegal blockades seeking to take our neighborhoods and our economy hostage and the collective COVID fatigue we are facing are two very separate things.”

“If you joined the protests because you’re tired of COVID you now need to understand you are breaking laws. The consequences are becoming more and more severe,” he warned. “You don’t want to end up losing your license, end up with a criminal record which will impact your job, your livelihood, even your ability to travel internationally, including to the U.S.”

Punished for protesting? Do these Elites even read their Charter of Rights and Freedoms?

Same Politicians Who Held Us Under Lockdown For 2 Years, Now Trying To Blame Truckers For Messing With Citizens Lives

Like a scalded cat, former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Gerald Michael Butts went running off to the bottom of the trash heap in a pathetic attempt to save his longtime protege, the worst prime minister in Canadian history, in a CNN interview.

“As the former Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Butts was praised as the architect behind the Liberal Party of Canada platform that led to their victory in October of 2015 and was one of the most senior staffers in the Office of the Prime Minister, along with Katie Telford.” (Wikipedia)

In hurling outrageous insults at Canadian Truckers and their supporters, Butts sounds exactly like his former boss: “It’s really important that we’re getting to a point in the pandemic where we’ll be able to open up again largely because Canadians have been doing their civic duty and not because of a lawless mob in in downtown Ottawa,” Butts said in a Wednesday CNN interview.

None of these same politicians really had a problem with the BLM protests in Canada, many of which turned violence (shocker), like in Montreal and Ottawa. But, going against the truckers is the same playbooks the Powers That Be used against those initially protesting COVID restrictions, calling non-violent protests “dangerous”.

You know how to end this? Remove the requirement that cross border truckers be vaccinated. If truckers want to take the chance in their own lives, let them.

Federal Judge Strikes Down Biden’s Attempt To Force ‘Climate Change’ Into Rulemaking

It’s a good thing Biden never really put his law degree to work, because, he sure loses a lot in court

US judge strikes down Biden climate damage cost estimate

A federal judge on Friday blocked the Biden administration’s attempt to put greater emphasis on potential damage from greenhouse gas emissions when creating rules for polluting industries.

U.S. District Judge James Cain of the Western District of Louisiana sided with Republican attorneys general from energy producing states who said the administration’s action to raise the cost estimate of carbon emissions threatened to drive up energy costs while decreasing state revenues from energy production.

The judge issued an injunction that bars the Biden administration from using the higher cost estimate, which puts a dollar value on damages caused by every additional ton of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere.

President Joe Biden on his first day in office restored the climate cost estimate to about $51 per ton of carbon dioxide emissions after the Trump administration had reduced the figure to about $7 or less per ton. Former President Donald Trump’s estimate included only damages felt in the U.S. versus the global damages captured in higher estimates that were previously used under the Obama administration.

The estimate would be used to shape future rules for oil and gas drilling, automobiles, and other industries. Using a higher cost estimate would help justify reductions in planet-warming emissions, by making the benefits more likely to outweigh the expenses of complying with new rules.

This is the idiotic “social cost of carbon” BS that Obama tried, and got shot down, and would mean much higher costs for energy, which would raise the cost of everything. Rich folks like Biden wouldn’t be impacted, but, the middle and lower classes would feel the pain.

Republican attorneys general led by Louisiana’s Jeff Landry said the Biden administration’s revival of the higher estimate was illegal and exceeded its authority by basing the figure on global considerations. The other states whose officials sued are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Dakota, Texas, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Well, it’s dead at the moment, let’s see if the Biden DOJ tries to fight back and win in a higher court. Because they really do not care about you people.

LGB: Consumer Sentiment Falls To Lowest Level Since 2011

Good thing Biden’s on vacation at Camp David yet again this weekend. Sure, sure, he can do pretty much everything there he can do at the White House, but, unlike previous presidents, Biden doesn’t seem to do a damned thing on the weekends, just sleep and get ice cream

US consumers are ‘in a deep funk’: What that means for the economy

As concerns around inflation soar, American consumers’ outlook on the trajectory of the U.S. economy has deteriorated, worrying some experts that negative attitudes could dampen expenditure and put a dent in economic growth.

The University of Michigan’s closely-watched consumer sentiment index fell to 61.7 in early February, hitting the lowest level since October 2011. January saw a reading of 67.2.

Recent declines in the measure have been driven by weakening personal financial prospects amid rising inflation, less confidence in the government’s economic policies, and the least favorable long-term economic outlook in a decade, the University of Michigan said in its latest report Friday.

The reading follows fresh CPI data out Thursday that showed U.S. inflation accelerated last month in the fastest rise since 1982, with prices across a wide range of goods and services soaring further amid lingering shortages and supply chain disruptions.

“Incredibly, the consumer is polling negatively on almost everything when it comes to the economy, and if their confidence doesn’t improve, the economy could be headed towards the cliff of recession,” FWDBONDS chief economist Christopher S. Rupkey said in a note. “We almost have to recheck our figures because the consumer is clearly in a deep funk and if they decide to call it quits then the economic growth we have seen is going to fade fast.”

Almost every single move the Brandon admin has made has hurt the economy and consumer confidence. Even his talking points hurt. Say what you will about Mr. Mean Tweets, Trump was focus on the economy and helping the middle and lower classes.

“The big drop in consumer sentiment through February is concerning,” Bill Adams, chief economist for Comerica Bank, said in a note, pointing out the indicator is down 26.6 points from its recovery-to-date high in April 2021 through the February preliminary release.

If we go by Democrat talking points, that would mean that the sentiment was high due to the work of the Trump admin, and then Brandon crashed it.

Morgan Stanley chief economist Seth Carpenter told Yahoo Finance Live that the data shows as long as job gains continue, consumer spending tends to hold up.

“Consumer sentiment numbers are a bit of a cautionary tale… but fundamentals still look pretty good,” said Carpenter.

And, hopefully this turns around, which would be in contradiction to Biden’s policies. Of course, the “new” jobs are mostly just replacing those lost during the Chinese coronavirus.

Surprise: Democrats Getting Lots Of “Dark Money” To Push Their Climate Authoritarism

I’m utterly shocked at this revelation, considering how much and often Democrats rail against dark money. Whitehouse whines about it almost every day

Unsurprisingly, Sheldon, like so many, reaps the benefits from this dark money. You can see it at opensecrets.org.

Dark Money Link to Democrats’ Climate Probes

It was Democrats who nearly a decade ago first labeled the opaque funneling of millions of dollars into various political influence operations “dark money” and railed against the then-GOP-dominated practice.

Over the past two election cycles, however, Democrats have not only caught up but surpassed Republicans in channeling unlimited sums of special interest and billionaire spending through nonprofits that do not disclose their donors’ identities.

Liberal groups and political operatives allied with the Democratic Party have also grown more creative in the types of political influence operations the funds support. A little-noticed dark-money entity created at least three years ago to help Democrats in Congress work more effectively is now drawing scrutiny.

The piece then spends a lot of time on quite a few of these big dark money groups, leading to

Schiliro previously told the New York Times that the group has trained lawmakers and staff on how best to extract meaningful information from well-coached witnesses called to testify before Congress.

Schiliro and Barnett’s recent work with Democrats on Capitol Hill stirred Republican scrutiny in recent months after the House Committee on Oversight and Reform held an October hearing titled, “Fueling the Climate Crisis: Exposing Big Oil’s Disinformation Campaign to Prevent Climate Action.” After the hearing, the panel issued subpoenas to oil companies whose executives were called to testify. (snip)

After the October hearing, Rep. Ro Khanna, who chairs the environment subcommittee of the oversight panel, told reporters that he was working with former Waxman staffers with the goal of modeling the “Big Oil” hearings after those held into the tobacco companies in the 1990s on whether nicotine is addictive. Khanna told The Hill newspaper that he expected the investigation to continue for months, and boasted that the committee has enlisted the help of “a lot of people” involved in planning the Waxman hearings for advice.

Khanna’s comments and the dark-money role in funding Co-Equal formed the basis of a formal complaint to the House of Representatives’ Office of Congressional Ethics. Government Accountability and Oversight, a conservative government watchdog organization, in mid-January filed a complaint arguing that Co-Equal was providing privately financed or in-kind support for the House oversight panel in violation of House ethics rules.

“This development, which on its face is in violation of House rules (XXIV) and ethics requirements, represents the extension of a new but rapidly expanding practice of privately underwriting governmental staff, for ‘climate’ policy and even investigating private parties viewed as impeding advancement of the climate policy agenda,” the watchdog argued.

Surprise? Democrats have taken the whole dark money thing and kicked it up a few notches while attempting to shake down companies and push climate authoritarianism.
