CBC Editorial: Trump And RNC Shouldn’t Fundraise Off Assassination Attempt

You really cannot hate these Credentialed Media folks enough. Where were all the editorials from the Capital Broadcasting Company when Democrats fundraised off a tragedy? When the Cult of Climastrology called for more government regulation after weather happened? When Democrats called for gun grabbing after a shooter (usually a Democrat, and often a trans wacko over the past few years) went on a rampage?

Editorial: Trump rally shooting must not be exploited for quick campaign bucks

double standardsThe assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump is a tragedy. It is not an opportunity.

Yes, politics and campaigning must, and should appropriately, continue. The National Republican Convention, opening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will, and should, continue as planned.

Focus also should be on what has been left in the wake of the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. While Trump was fortunate with minor wounds to his right ear, Corey Comperatore, a former local fire chief, lost his life to the sniper’s bullet as he dove to protect his wife and daughter.

Two others injured at the rally are listed in stable condition.

Attention should be on comforting the Comperatore family at this time of such tragic loss. Concern should be on the healing of those who are injured.

Republicans are typically the ones offering thoughts and prayers, and we actually mean it, while Democrats yell that thoughts and prayers aren’t enough, government must grab guns. And do it within hours of the shooting. I’m betting that Trump, and other Republicans, will mention Comperatore and others during their speeches, that they will be lauded.

The focus of this horrible incident now should be on:

  • Comforting the innocent victims;
  • Examining what happened and why;
  • Exploring what, if anything could have been or should have been done to prevent it;
  • Restoring civility and respectful dialogue into our political environment that has become overheated, bombastic and, as evidenced most recently, inciteful.

There already are serious questions being raised about the precautions and actions of the security around Trump that need to be answered. Did the Trump campaign seek added protection? If so, was it denied ad  why?

The CBC should immediately work towards restoring civility and respectful dialogue on their NBC station, WRAL, for their website and broadcast TV. Where was the CBC after the George Floyd incident, when Democrats raged and rioted and burned things and so much more, and the Democrats were fundraising and calling to institute all sorts of things?

In October 2022 Paul Pelosi, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Palosi was assaulted by an intruder in their San Francisco home. In 2017 U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana was shot and injured. In 2011 former U.S. Rep. Gabby Giffords and 18 others were shot at an Arizona meeting with her constituents.

Scalise, a Republican, couldn’t restrain his partisan instincts when he sought to blame Biden and Democrats for the shooting. “For weeks Democrat leaders have been fueling ludicrous hysteria that Donald Trump winning re-election would be the end of democracy in America. Clearly we’ve seen far left lunatics act on violent rhetoric in the past. This incendiary rhetoric must stop.”

Pelosi tried to fundraise. Giffords tried to grab guns, and is still trying, even though she and her husband have handguns. Scalise was 100% right, just like how Democrats have demonized Trump.

A few hours after the shooting, the Trump campaign sent fundraising emails declaring “I WILL NEVER SURRENDER.” Almost exactly a day after the attempt on his life, Trump blasted out a fundraising email announcing “I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin and the Republican National Convention by two days, but I have just decided not to let this force a change to any scheduling.  I am Donald J. Trump! … MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN 2024.”

The election will, and must, go on. The campaigning isn’t going to stop – nor should it.

The tragedy in Butler, Pennsylvania should not be frivolously exploited for a quick campaign buck.

Those who pursue that route only display their lack of integrity and unfitness for public office.

Hmm, so, the CBC is turning up the heat, being disrespectful. Democrats will always try and fundraise off mass shootings and other tragedies, saying we need to Do Something. In case they missed it, a wacko tried to kill Trump. We’ll see what they CBC says the next time there is some tragedy and Democrats fundraise. Oh, and surely how nasty NBC affiliate WRAL will get during the convention.

American Climate (cult) Corps Looks To Hire And Do Things In Colorado

Amazingly, this was the top headline for the Denver Post web edition for smartphone browsers, above a wackjob trying to kill a former president and current contender. It just goes to show how much sway the climate cult has in the Credentialed Media

New American Climate Corps aims to hire young people to fight climate change. Here’s what it’s doing in Colorado.

Chainsaws buzzed as members of a saw crew cut down an invasive Russian olive tree that had been sucking precious water and nutrients from the High Line Canal in Aurora.

The crew members are some of the first participants in the new American Climate Corps — a federal effort by the Biden administration to put young people to work to address the effects of climate change. In its first year, nearly 900 corps positions are based in Colorado.

None in the crew of 18- to 24-year-olds, who are employed by Mile High Youth Corps, had wielded chainsaws before this summer. That didn’t deter 21-year-old crew leader Alex Dills. He joined the corps because he wanted a job where he could work outside on parks and trails before completing his degree in economics and math at the University of Denver, and then working a desk job.

“I get to go out and make a tangible difference,” Dills said.

How dare trees that suck carbon pollution from the air grow! Anyhow, it’s a cute way to give young climate cultists federal pay, indoctrinate them more, and make sure they stay Democrat voters. How soon till the ACC is unionized?

The American Climate Corps aims to employ 20,000 young people nationwide to tackle a range of projects, including forest management, building weatherization and educating people about sustainability.

It will be interesting to see if they actually do the projects, forest management (how well has that worked out in Leftist California?), and weatherization, or, if it is mostly indoctrination of other Comrades, especially young children.

Many of the current American Climate Corps openings in Colorado are on the Front Range, with more than half of job postings based in Denver. Other positions are based in Hotchkiss, Hesperus and Jamestown.

The job duties vary widely, from helping Denver students become more environmentally literate to a six-month program learning climate-resilient farming techniques in southwest Colorado.

Yup, indoctrinating kids. I have to wonder how many of the youts involved actually want to learn farming. They most likely feel that they are too well educated and fill of class to be farming.

Biden Wants Americans To “Cool It” After Wacko Tried To Assassinate Trump

Yeah, maybe he should look to the wackos in his party. And himself. Don’t forget, he’s been yammering about going all “Dark Brandon” lately

Biden makes primetime plea to ‘cool it down’ after Trump shooting

President Biden on Sunday night made a primetime plea to lower the temperature in American politics after a gunman shot at former President Trump at a rally the day prior.

“The political rhetoric in this country has gotten very heated. It’s time to cool it down,” Biden said in remarks in the Oval Office. “This places an added burden on all of us that no matter how strong our convictions, we must never descend into violence.”

“Let’s remember here in America, while unity is the most elusive of goals right now, nothing is more important for us now than standing together. We can do this,” Biden said.

Who’s president during this time of massive disunity?

“There is no place in America for this time of violence, for any violence, ever. Period, no exceptions. We can’t allow this violence to be normalized,” Biden said in the primetime remarks.

Tell that to those who rebelled against England.

“In America, we resolve our differences at the ballot box. That’s how we do it, at the ballot box, not with bullets,” he said. “The power of change in America should always rest in the hands of people, not in the hands of a would-be assassin.”

He actually said “battle box.”

“Tonight, I’m asking every American to recommit to make America… what it is. Think about it, what’s made America so special? Here in America, everyone must be treated with dignity and respect and hate must have no safe harbor,” he added.

He almost said “make America great again.” Anyhow, also Biden

That surely doesn’t whip Dem voters up

His team may have deleted the tweet (don’t federal records keeping laws require it to be kept?), but, it’s still on Politico, who first reported it.

Crazy Person Tried To Kill Trump At Rally Saturday

This is what happens when the Democrat Party, and wacko never-Trumpers, say that he’s a danger to America, Democracy!, and the whole world. That he’s a Fascist, and authoritarian, that he’s in it for revenge, that he’s going to lock up his political enemies and even kill them. That he’ll never step down after another four years

From the Daily Caller

Former President Donald Trump was whisked off the stage by Secret Service on Saturday at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, after what appeared to be multiple rounds of gunfire could be heard.

The former president gestured to the crowd with a fist before being escorted off the stage. Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger said the suspected gunman was dead and at least one rally attendee was killed, according to The Associated Press.

” An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available,” Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement on Saturday.

Take this with a grain of salt, might be way too quick, but, you can see the shooter is dead

Of course, the wackos are saying this was a false flag. Some are saying it was a BB gun, though, would be a damned impossible shot, and the other attendee wouldn’t be dead. Plus, people heard gun shots. I’m pretty sure the patriots in the crowd know what that sounds like.

Biden came out from his beach house to mention this for one minute, without calling it an assassination attempt. And so many media outlets did not even say Trump was shot or that it was an assassination attempt in their headlines.

Just look at the rhetoric of Democrat big wigs, including Biden. Look at what your comrades in the media are saying.

Washington Post Suddenly Big Fans Of Taliban As They Incorporate ‘Climate Change’

You know, when a hardcore extremist, terrorist group is agreeing with your positions, you might want to rethink your positions. And the Taliban is listed as a terrorist group by Canada, the EU, the UN, though, it’s kinda complicated for the U.S.

Taliban tries reconciling science and religion in facing climate change

When Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers headed to the country’s first “international climate change conference” earlier this year in the eastern city of Jalalabad, few foreign guests turned up.

Afghanistan remains a global pariah in large part because of the Taliban restrictions on female education, and that isolation has deprived the country of foreign funding for urgently needed measures to adapt to climate change.

“Female education”, like that’s their only problem

So, for now, the Afghan government is largely confronting the impacts of global warming on its own and putting the blame for floods and sluggish governmental aid on foreigners. Some former Taliban commanders view global carbon emissions as a new invisible enemy.

“Just like they invaded our country, they’ve invaded our climate,” Lutfullah Khairkhaw, the Taliban’s deputy higher education minister, said in his opening speech at the Jalalabad conference this year. “We must defend our climate, our water, our soil to the same extent we defend ourselves against invasions.”

While Taliban beliefs are rooted in centuries-old Pashtun culture and an extreme interpretation of Islam, the government affirms that climate change is real, that it’s destroying God’s work and that those in the world who reject the truth of climate change need to get on board. The Taliban has asked imams in Afghanistan’s tens of thousands of mosques to emphasize during Friday prayers the need for environmental protection.

Carbon footprints will weigh heavily on judgment day, said Kabul-based imam Farisullah Azhari. “God will ask: How did you make your money? And then he will ask: How much suffering did you cause in the process?” he said in an interview.

Funny how the Warmists at the Washington Post are commiserating and blowing off the terrorist realities of the Taliban. How they treat women. How they treat gays. And so much more. All because the Taliban is playing with joining the Climate Cult.

Federal Judge Puts Net Neutrality On Hold To Allow Lawsuits To Be Heard

While some can point to the pros of Net Neutrality, or, what they are calling “Open Internet” to make it sound better, at the end of the day it turns the Internet into a public utility. In other words, the government sets the rules and terms, just like they did with wired phone service. The minute it was de-regulated phone service capabilities exploded. Competition exploded. You could now buy whatever phone you wanted, instead of renting it from the phone company. All sorts of long distance carriers were competing for your business. Wireless phones have done all you’ve seen without treating them as a public utility. And so did the Internet

Net neutrality rules reinstatement temporarily halted by US appeals court

A U.S. appeals court said on Friday it was temporarily putting the Federal Communications Commission’s reinstatement of landmark net neutrality rules on hold until Aug. 5 as it considers legal challenges from the broadband industry.

The FCC voted in April along party lines to reassume regulatory oversight of broadband internet and reinstate open internet rules that were rescinded in 2017 under then-President Donald Trump.

Those rules were originally adopted in 2015, and were set to go back into effect on July 22 until the order from the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, which said the delay was needed “to provide sufficient opportunity to consider the merits” of the request to halt the rules as the legal challenge proceeds.

The FCC did not immediately comment on Friday.

Net neutrality rules require internet service providers to treat internet data and users equally rather than restricting access, slowing speeds or blocking content for certain users. The rules also forbid special arrangements in which ISPs give improved network speeds or access to favored users.

At the end of the day, no matter how many pros are put out their for NN, it is unnecessary. It was never needed before Obama’s FCC passed it. No one in Congress voted for it, and something like NN should be legislation, not from a bunch of un-elected bureaucrats. The fact that hardcore Progressives, heavily invested in implementing massive government control of everything and everyone, want it should tell you what it is really all about. As NordVPN notes

Tiresome government regulation: Under net neutrality laws, the Federal Communications Commission must monitor the ISPs’ compliance with these rules. This includes submitting reports twice a year, which can become costly for ISPs of any size.

Do we really need the government heavily involved? There have been very few issues since everyone was able to access the Internet.

The internet can innovate without it: Many innovations took place in the absence of net neutrality regulations. Some net neutrality opponents also argue that there was a significant growth of the internet and relatively little wrongdoings without net neutrality. With heavy regulation, might services such as NordVPN be killed off?

Almost every innovation took place without NN. 20 years ago you couldn’t stream all your shows and videos and music via the Internet. Now you can do it, sadly, while you are standing in line waiting for your fast food meal, sitting at your table, or while sitting at a stop light as it goes green. As National Review notes

The years under the OIO (Open Internet Order, ie, Net Neutrality) demonstrate the opposite. That period saw the only drops in broadband investment in non-recessionary years. Average prices in broadband speeds started to significantly decline only after the net-neutrality rules were repealed. Getting more people online seems to have no corollary relationship to the net-neutrality rules. If the goal of the FCC is to close the digital divide, its efforts would be best served elsewhere.

But, see, the current Big Government weenies controlling the FCC want a “light touch

Moreover, for some activists, net neutrality is the camel’s nose under the tent of public utility regulation. FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel stated she has no intention of regulating broadband rates, and while technically Title II is rate regulation, I believe her. But this promise lasts only as long as the agency forbears from applying the full panoply of Title II regulations. Several advocates—and President Biden—have already pointed to allegedly high broadband prices to justify greater government regulation. And one-time FCC nominee Gigi Sohn views net neutrality as not about traffic management but having a “cop on the beat” to police broadband industry practices. More broadly, Yale’s Law and Political Economy Project has marshaled an impressive group of academics dedicated to reviving public utility regulation across society, including broadband. Title II reclassification makes it easier for a future FCC to yield to these regulatory impulses.

There was already a light touch prior to NN and in the years since 2017 when Trump’s FCC killed it off. Let me put it this way: what if Trump decides he wants to be the dictator all the lefties say he will be and uses NN to clamp down on ISPs and providors and such and restrict Democrat leaning companies and blogs and websites, stopping condemnation of Trump?

Net Neutrality is government for government’s sake, and meant to control everything. It is evil disguised as nice.
