This is the woman who’s been vice president for almost 4 years and hasn’t really helped most working and middle class Americans, right? I’m just wondering how good of an idea this is, since she’s been Angry Woman as of late, and if she jumps into Word Salad it will be a bad look. Seriously, her written speeches read off a teleprompter include word salad
Harris reaches for a big moment in her closing argument for ‘turning the page’ on Trump
Vice President Kamala Harris will pledge to Americans that she’ll work to improve their lives while Republican Donald Trump is only in it for himself as she delivers her campaign’s closing argument Tuesday from the same site where the former president fomented the Capitol insurrection in 2021.
One week out from Election Day, Harris’ address from the grassy Ellipse near the White House is designed to encourage Americans to visualize their alternate futures if she or Trump takes over the Oval Office in less than three months.
She hoped to sharpen that contrast by delivering her capstone speech from the place where Trump on Jan. 6, 2021, spewed falsehoods about the 2020 presidential election that inspired a crowd to march to the Capitol and try unsuccessfully to halt the certification of Democrat Joe Biden’s victory and the sealing of his own defeat.
Was this AP article written by the Harris campaign? It’s so partisan that the AP is proving they are not a news service
On Tuesday, aides said, Harris aims to look beyond the startling imagery of her location on the Ellipse to make a broader case for voters to reject Trump and consider what she offers.
“There’s a big difference between he and I,” Harris told reporters Monday in previewing her speech. “If he were elected, on day one he’s going to sit in the Oval Office working on his enemies list. On day one, if I am elected, which I fully expect to be, I will be working on behalf of the American people on my to-do list.”
Her “to-do” list since January 20th 2020 hasn’t helped Americans, unless they are rich. Her new to-do list is worse. Price controls on food will certainly help, right? Nothing will go wrong, right?
Harris was expected to use her speech to lay out a pragmatic and forward-looking plan for the country, including reminding voters about her economic proposals and pledging to staunchly work for access to reproductive care, including abortion.
Also central to her message: positioning herself as a “new generation” of leader after Trump and even her current boss, Biden.
As for Trump, she said Monday, “People are literally ready to turn the page. They’re tired of it.”
Harris is 60. How will that be a new generation of leader? How does it help to finally lay out a “plan” one week before the election? The speech will simply be about abortion, her bad sticky note economic ideas, and Trump Trump Trump. There will be nothing new. Enough voters turned the page on Trump four years ago, but, the horrendously bad Biden-Harris administration brought a new book. Remember, Harris said that she wouldn’t do anything different from her time as VP.
Every single thing she does is scripted.
She simply cannot function without one. pic.twitter.com/JpZ4IDRpRD

She can barely function with a script.
You know what will be missing from her speech? American flags. Patriotic apparel.

How Bay Area Churches Are Becoming Hubs for Climate Change Solutions
Black churches in the Bay Area are taking the lead on retrofitting their buildings with clean energy to become ‘resilience hubs’ in the event of a major storm or climate-related event. It’s part of a national movement called Green The Church, an organization merging the Black faith community and environmental justice.
The rest is simply a podcast. Which is pretty cultish. One of the things that Green The Church is about is amplifying green theology. Shouldn’t they be amplifying the Word Of God? That is the purpose of a Christian church, right?
Green the Church is a sustainability initiative designed to tap into the power and purpose of the Black Church Community and expand the role of churches as centers for environmental and economic resilience. As the Environmental Organization of the Black Church, we strive to teach faith communities, environmental organizations, and individual practitioners how to work in concert in order to “Green” The Black Church. Green The Church was created and developed by Carroll Ministries International.
Sounds like it is part of the Cult Of Climastrology, making the teaching of the Bible and Jesus second fiddle. Seriously, the whole thing sounds like a leftwing scam designed to replace religion with that of a state sponsored doom cult, and we’ve seen over the years how the left has been trying to replace religion with worship of the State.

A vote for Kamala is a vote to continue lackluster economic conditions. The Credentialed Media can yammer all the want about how super duper awesome the Biden-Harris economy is and that you should get on your knees to thank them, but, Americans feel different
Inflation-shocked low- and middle-income Americans may not spend normally for years
Putting “fun” back into low- and middle-income Americans’ budgets could be years away with most of their income barely covering the surge in costs for bare necessities, economists said.
Even with annual inflation last month cooling to the lowest level since February 2021 and wages rising faster than inflation, low- and middle-income Americans are just barely covering their essentials, which include groceries, shelter, utilities and gasoline, economists say.
That’s because when inflation slows, it only means prices aren’t rising as quickly, not that prices are declining. So, Americans continue to pay higher prices for everyday needs.
Low- and middle-income Americans were hit disproportionately harder than their higher-income peers because essentials account for a larger share of their budgets, and their discretionary spending, or spending on nonessential items like dining out, vacations and entertainment, is only just recovering, economists say.
So, when all the celebs like Beyonce, Springsteen, DiCaprio, etc, start saying how great things are under Biden-Harris and now want Harris-Walz, none of this affects them. They’re living just fine.
“For a very large share of Americans, the bottom 60% are spending more on essentials than before the pandemic,” said Michael Pearce, Oxford Economics deputy chief U.S. economist. “The burden is hardest among the lowest income but also touches middle income. Spending patterns of low-income Americans will take years to recover.” (snip)
A Gallup poll this month showed 52% of Americans said they and their families are worse off today than they were four years ago. “Inflation likely underlies Americans’ perceptions that the economy is poor, even against a backdrop of generally low unemployment, steady economic growth, and record stock and housing values,” it said.
Americans feel the pain
The last time low-income Americans’ discretionary spending fell this much, which was during the Global Financial Crisis of 2007-2008, it took five to 10 years for spending patterns to return to previous levels, he said.
“And the reason was gas prices fell,” Pearce said. Global oil prices fell by about 70% between 2014-16, which pushed pump prices sharply lower and helped low-income Americans catch up.
The policies of Obama and his Democrats kept the pain alive. Vote Trump and he’ll work to lower gas prices, which can lower the cost of goods and food quickly.

Stop, stop, I’m already voting for him, I do not need more reasons
Five ways a Trump presidency would be disastrous for the climate
The climate crisis may appear peripheral in the US presidential election but a victory for Donald Trump will, more than any other issue, have profound consequences for people around a rapidly heating world, experts have warned.
By peripheral, they mean “it has virtually no bearing on the election when people are having trouble buying food and paying rent”
So what would a Trump election triumph mean for the environment?
1. A dangerous and uncertain future
Amid the frenetic bombast of politics, it is easy to overlook the long legacies of electoral decisions. Action or inaction on the climate crisis in the span of just the next few years will help decide the tolerability of the climate for generations not yet born.“We have now brought the planet into climatic conditions never witnessed by us or our prehistoric relatives,” as a recent paper authored by more than a dozen scientists warned. “We are on the brink of an irreversible climate disaster. This is a global emergency beyond any doubt.”
Considering that a goodly chunk of the time for modern humans was during an ice age, that’s a dubious claim. And, reconstructions show that several previous warm periods were warmer.
2. Climate denialism would return to the Oval Office
Of course, despite the climate sermonizing from people like Biden and Kamala, they themselves use enormous amounts of fossil fuels, way more than the average American. How many gallons did Biden use just to head to Delaware for most weekends this year alone?
3. Clean energy policies unpicked
A primary target for a new Trump administration would be the landmark climate bill signed by Biden that is pushing hundreds of billions of dollars to renewable energy deployment, electric car production and battery manufacturing.
Trump is not against “green energy”, he’s against wasting taxpayer money for projects that are not really beneficial, as well as not forcing Americans into vehicles they do not want.
4. A purge of science
A far more ideological slant on science and expertise is likely to emerge should Trump win office, with Project 2025, the conservative manifesto authored by many former Trump officials, calling for civil servants to be replaced by loyal political operatives.
It mostly won’t happen: Trump didn’t do it last time, he won’t do it this time. Of course, what about the ideological slant of all those government employed “scientists”?
5. International relations shaken
As president, Trump took several months to decide to remove the US from the Paris climate agreement. “This time I think he would do that on the very first day, likely with a lot of dramatic flourish,” said Rabe.
If other countries want redistribute their citizen’s earnings for silly projects with the money ending up in the hands of the UN, the IMF, 3rd World dictators, feel free. And, I’m hoping that Trump does end up ending America’s involvement with the Paris Climate (scam) Agreement within the 1st month. Our allies will be happy when Trump calms the world down so we’re not headed towards WW3. Lest we forget, these are the same world leaders who also tend to have massive carbon footprints and take lots of fossil fueled travel.

No matter what one might say about John Fetterman’s liberal leanings, he has been one of the biggest Democrat supporters of Israel and in their fight against Islamic extremism. I wonder, here, though, if what he said to the NY Times reporter got through her indoctrinated to hate Israel and Jews head
Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman clapped back at New York Times (NYT) reporter Lulu Garcia-Navarro over a question on Israel’s war against terror in an interview released Saturday.
Garcia-Navarro poked at Fetterman’s unwavering support for Israel following the deadly Oct. 7, 2023 attack by Islamic terror group Hamas with a slew of questions. The Democratic senator remained consistent when pressed about Israel’s exploding pager attack of mid-September which targeted Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon.
Fetterman told the NYT reporter he “absolutely” does support Israel’s pager attack despite the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh chapters of the Council on American Islamic Relations condemning him in a joint statement issued in late September.
This would be the same CAIR which has always had massive links to Islamic terrorism groups
“They said, ‘When our elected officials start condoning the civilian loss of life, our collective moral compass is irreparably harmed,’” Garcia-Navarro said.
“It was targeted for members of Hezbollah. You know, no one uses beepers in that situation other than they were a member of Hezbollah,” Fetterman countered.
All those beepers were sold to Hezbollah as part of a long Israeli operation to get them to stop using phones, and the company who built and sold the beepers to Hezbollah was an Israeli one, which is truly funny.
“There was a young child who was killed,” the NYT reporter said.
“Unfortunately, tragically, because daddy was a member of Hezbollah,” Fetterman responded. “He brought that danger and evil into their home. And that’s what tragically resulted in that poor child’s death.”
“That’s what’s so terrible. She paid the price because her father was a terrorist for Hezbollah,” he added.
It’s one thing to ask tough questions to elicit answers that are favorable to the interviewee. It’s another to ask questions that appear to take the side of a US State Department designated terrorist group, which is what Garcia-Navarro was doing.
Also, if you refer to that link I made bold in the first excerpt, here’s how the entire thing started. It was the second question, after one about how Fetterman no longer defines himself as a Progressive, for which he said he has “reasonable views”
You said just now that progressives have adopted extreme positions, which you don’t agree with anymore. What would you say those are? Like defund the police, those kinds of things. That was a huge gift to the Republicans. And now, just some of these protesting right now. They’re openly being supportive of Hamas, or they’re now calling for the infantada [intifada] and these kinds of extreme absurd things. And they are supporting the kinds of regimes that live and impose the kind of values that are antithetical to the progressive kinds of way that they would live.
Exactly. How many Democrats are openly supportive of Islamic terrorism groups, and Iran, which are attempting to kill Jews and destroy Israel? There’s actually quite a bit more later in the interview for which Fetterman educates Garcia-Navarro on why Israel is good and Islamic terrorism groups are bad.

Well, if the cultists, in this case the UK Guardian’s Stuart Jeffries who writes the cult screed, don’t like it they can start their own news station, right?
‘You don’t want to waste time on climate change’: TV weather’s big problem with the environmental crisis
Lack of time, difficulties with scientific rigour, an uninterested public … television meteorologists open up about why they’re so quiet about the reasons for extreme conditions
Why do TV and radio forecasts rarely contextualise extreme weather events in terms of the climate crisis? After all, the latest data suggests Britain is getting hotter, wetter and stormier. The number of “very hot days” of 30C or more, according to the Met Office’s latest climate report, has trebled over the last few decades. Last year was the second warmest on record since 1884, with only 2022 warmer.
“If you believe, as I do, that climate change is the most fundamental challenge facing humanity,” says Sunil Amrith, history professor at Yale’s School of Environment, and author of the forthcoming book The Burning Earth: An Environmental History of the Past 500 Years, “any contribution to making its causes and effects more widely known will have a role to play”.
Sunil could go into business with Stuart. Why don’t they do a webcast with their climate cult weather forecast? See how that goes
Met Office forecaster and presenter Alex Burkill does not agree that climate denialism is rife among meteorologists. “I think the reason we don’t do it very often is twofold. One is timings. We don’t always have a huge amount of time to talk, particularly on TV. If there’s important weather to be discussing, you don’t really want to waste time talking about climate change. You’d much rather get the information the public need to make sure they stay safe.”
This goes to the subheadline: people do not care, they just want their damned weather forecast, not a lecture on climate doom. Will it rain? Snow? Sleet? Be hot, cold, or a gorgeous day you can take a significant other, the kids, your parents, out for a nice lunch or something? It’s like how no one wants to hear about gun grabbing in the middle of a football game.
But your nightly weather bulletin is poised to be revolutionised, like everything else in human culture, by artificial intelligence. Charlton-Perez points out that in the past two years Google, Microsoft, Nvidia and Huawei have been developing weather forecasts using AI technology. “They run thousands of times faster than normal weather forecasting models. I can run those on my laptop.”
Perhaps AI could not only more accurately forecast the weather but ChatGPT-engaged bots could present it, making, say, Carol Kirkwood and Stav Danaos redundant. “From a presenter point of view, there’s obviously the concern that we might get replaced with an AI robot,” says Burkill. “I don’t think that’s going to happen particularly soon, because I think people still want that human interaction.” He has a more pressing worry – that his weather forecasts can be deepfaked. “More concerning is the ability for people to use AI to modify what we’ve said. They can be quite convincing.”
And the climate cult could get the AI to present climate doom with a side of the weather forecast. I’ve been watching this issue for so long and seen it become so hardcore over the years and decades that I was really one of the first to call it a cult, hence I read this as a threat to weathermen that they had better comply with the cult or they will be replaced.

You wanted a scorching hot-take for a Monday morning, didn’t you?
Vice President Harris was interrupted by a heckler while she was speaking in a Pennsylvania church on Sunday meant to highlight her faith in the battleground state nine days before Election Day.
From the lectern at the Church of Christian Compassion in West Philadelphia, Harris was referencing the biblical story of the Apostle Paul when someone began shouting. Harris stopped speaking and clapped, as the church band sounded music to drown out the heckler, who was not captured on event cameras.
“That’s why we fight for democracy,” Harris repeated as the heckler was escorted out. (snip)
The interruption was over in less than two minutes and Harris continued her message. At the beginning of her remarks, Harris had suggested that voting for her fulfills God’s will.
“In just nine days, we have the power to decide the fate of our nation for generations to come. And on this day, then on this beautiful Sunday morning, I am reminded God expects us to help Him,” Harris said through laughter, garnering applause. “We got work to do.”
Does anyone think that God would want people to vote for someone who advocates for unfettered abortion on demand? Who wants the State to be the religion, not that of God? Communists are anti-religion. And Harris has been against religious freedom. I’m always shocked that people come to hear political speeches at Sunday church. It’s not the place.
“So let us answer not just with our words, but with our works. Yes, with our prayers, but also with our pressing. Yes, with our faith and also our faith, but also our feet. As we walk to the polls,” Harris said. “And yes, in these nine days, these next nine days will test us. They will demand everything we’ve got. But when I think about the days ahead and the God we serve, yeah, I am confident that His power will work through us. Because, church, I know we were born for a time such as this.”
She’s trying to be inspirational, but, she’s no Obama, no Martin Luther King, Jr. And she is right on the cusp of Word Salad. Oh, and
