If Trump wins he should send migrants/illegals to all the town of Democrats, like screed writer Catherine E. Shoichet
BTW, I hate these types of headlines from the Credentialed Media. These “explainer” ones like Vox started using. There’s no need for “here’s why”, as the whole point of writing an article is “here’s why”.
Former President Donald Trump vows he’ll kick millions of undocumented immigrants out of the US if he’s reelected.
In the months since cheering supporters waved “mass deportation now” signs at the Republican National Convention, Trump and his surrogates have offered various visions for how they’d achieve this goal. But they’ve left no doubt that it’s a top priority.
“If you’re in the country illegally, you better be looking over your shoulder,” former Immigration and Customs Enforcement chief Tom Homan said in July as he warned that no one would be off the table.
Trump adviser Stephen Miller has touted plans for “the largest domestic deportation operation in US history” and says the military would be involved.
And vice presidential candidate JD Vance says that deporting criminals would be the administration’s initial focus.
I’ve never understood why Democrats are so intent on keeping people who are here illegally, when the Constitution says Congress should stop foreign invasion. Unless this is really about creating Democrat voters, which they say is “missinformation”. Why else would they want murderers and rapists?
Experts say any path a future Trump administration picks would be complicated and costly, due to both the billions of dollars needed to fund mass deportation and the significant ripple effects that would hit the economy.
It costs the US $151 billion per year now. Rounding them up and booting them out would be essentially a one time cost, which would significantly de-incentivize people to come illegally in the future.
$10,900: The average cost of apprehending, detaining, processing and removing one undocumented immigrant from the United States in 2016, according to figures released by ICE at the time.
It’d be worth it.
1,016 days: The average time it takes for a case to make its way through immigration court, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University.
Does Catherine not think Trump and his people couldn’t figure out a quicker way to do this?
Migrant who ‘threatened to cut off woman’s fingers’ in brutal robbery is Tren de Aragua gangbanger
The alleged ringleader of a brutal robbery in an upscale Dallas neighborhood that shocked Texans is a confirmed Tren de Aragua gang member who was welcomed into the country just last year, sources told The Post.
Venezuelan illegal migrant Wilmer Colmenares Gonzalez, 27, allegedly held police at bay for hours after the robbery squad followed the victim into her garage, pistol-whipped her and forced her into her home in Northwest Dallas, where they made off with the valuables inside the woman’s Gucci handbag on Sept. 21, according to cops.
Why do Democrats want to keep these people? Gang members have zero chance of getting asylum. They are supposed to be deported immediately. The NY Times confirmed that Tren de Aragua is in NYC. They should be rounded up and deported ASAP. Why are they allowed to remain?
